Alexisonfire Makes a Triumphant, Bombastic Return to New York City

Pop Break Live: Alexisonfire at Terminal 5 in New York City

One of the premier hardcore bands to come of the 00s, Alexisonfire, made its triumphant return to New York City on Friday June 7 at Terminal 5. (The band also performed a second show at Terminal 5 on Saturday June 8).

The band stoked fans’ excitement this year not just by announcing their new tour, but also by dropping two new songs, ‘Familiar Drugs’ (you can view that video here) and ‘Complicit.’ The band did perform ‘Familiar Drugs’ during the encore.

Fronted by Dallas Green (who you may know from his other project City and Colour, and who tore his shirt off at the beginning of the Friday show), AlexisonFire hails from the Southern Ontario underground scene in Canada. The band produced four highly successfully, lifelong fan making records — Alexisonfire (2002), Watch Out (2004), Crisis (2006), and Old Crows / Young Cardinals (2009).

The band’s sold-out 10th Year Anniversary Farewell tour in December 2012 touched down on four continents in 24 days and their reunion which happened in 2015 was an awesome moment for fans.
