CBS All Access is serious about making their mark in the streaming game, and they definitely proved it today at San Diego Comic Con.

After weeks of hints and clues, Trekkies and pop culture aficionados finally got a glimpse of Star Trek: Picard. The series marks Sir Patrick Stewart’s return to series television since his starring role on Starz’s edgy comedy Blunt Talk which ran from 2015-2016.

The trailer for Star Trek: Picard was revealed during the show’s panel at SDCC, which featured Stewart, Isa Briones (Dahj), Santiago Cabrera (Cristobal “Chris” Rios), Michelle Hurd (Raffi Musiker), Alison Pill (Dr. Agnes Jurati), Harry Treadaway (Narek) and Evan Evagora (Elnor), alongside executive producers Alex Kurtzman, Michael Chabon, Akiva Goldsman and Heather Kadin as well as supervising producer Kirsten Beyer.

The panel was joined by two surprise guests — Brent Spiner (Data) and Jerri Ryan (Seven of Nine) — who also stunned audiences by their inclusion in the Picard trailer.

For those unfamiliar with the new Star Trek series, here’s a description from the press release.
