Surf Music returns to Asbury Park!
The 2019 Hi-Tide Summer Holiday (formerly the Asbury Park Surf Music Festival) returns to the city that Bruce built for three days of music, mai tais, and long boards. The festival is one of the coolest things to happen in Asbury Park, and that’s thanks to the brains behind Hi-Tide Recordings — Vincent Minervino and Magdalena O’Connell. The husband and wife team have been at the forefront, stirring the umbrella in the summer cocktail, of the rebirth of surf music in New Jersey. From distributing records from surf acts from all over the world to producing shows in Asbury Park (and beyond) to their pomade and beard oil line — these two have been pioneers. They’re also super rad individuals who pour their souls into both a sound, and a scene. So yes, please support them this weekend.
