Pop Break Live: The IIconcis at iPlay America in Freehold, New Jersey
The IIconics, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, the former and longest reigning WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions made their way to iPlay America in Freehold, New Jersey for an “intimate” meet and greet with hundreds of excited fans in attendance. Known for being the WWE’s resident “Mean Girls,” The IIconics in reality, could not have been any nicer.
For over two hours, the WWE Superstars took their time meeting every single person, and were happy to strike their signature poses with anyone who asked.
Fans of all ages lined up dressed in Iconic gear that included jackets, Kay’s Malificent Horns, and even some customized shoes. Some fans had Kay and Royce sign
their Replica Women’s Tag Team Title Belts. Many adoring fans brought gifts for the guests of honor including candy, stuffed animals, and homemade cards.
The ladies even took time to answer questions from the MC and they even answered some questions individually. I couldn’t help but smile when I had asked them about their edge walk at the top of the CN Tower in Toronto this past weekend. They exclaimed, “Don’t you ever do it!” “It’s so scary!”
Throughout the night iPlay America did a fantastic job keeping everyone patient and hyped with a DJ, trivia, prizes, food and IIconics matches on the big screens. The IIconics even got to make a grand entrance to their theme song which the crowd absolutely popped for. This was not your typical stand in line meet & greet, this was a party for wrestling fans.
And a good one at that.
They say, “Never meet your heroes.” Or in this particular case – your villains. I would have to respectfully disagree because Royce and Kay both went the extra mile tonight, especially for the kids. Although the IIconics have recently lost the titles, tonight they were true champions.
