With Halloween just around the corner, The Pop Break’s Rob Crowther caught up with one of the greatest WWE persona’s of all time, The Boogeyman at New Jersey Horror Con and Film Festival in Atlantic City, New Jersey

In this rare interview, Boogey talks about fans, sharing the ring with legends, worms, and even provides a few words of wisdom while constantly creeping out our staff writer.

Boogeyman, thanks for your time. How are you today?

Are you a good kid or a bad kid?

I think I’m a good kid! I’m gonna take a step back here…What’s it like for you interacting with these fans today??

(Evil Laugh……) First of all I’d like to thank all my fans for coming out and supporting me. Cause without you there is no me….

As you look into the mirror….what do you see?? (Creepy laugh)

Well, I’m gonna have nightmares tonight. We recently saw you at Northeast Wrestling sharing the ring with Mick Foley. Mick asked to eat a worm with you. What was that like for you?

In all seriousness, Mick Foley is one of the best in the world in this business. He opened doors for people such as myself, for us characters of that time. He’s one of the best. And not just being in the ring with him, but he asked to be served a worm…..

It was Epic!

Are you kidding me? It was one of the highlights of my career! And big props to Mick Foley and people such as Mick Foley. There’s a long ongoing list of people who have been flowing smooth in this business, and Mick Foley is at the top of the list.

And Lastly Boogie, I know you’re very busy and have a lot people to creep out here at NJ Horror Con. What advice would you have for the indy guys right now that are trying to make names for themselves?

Just refuse to lose, F excuses and F second place. You know what I mean? You gotta deal with life as it comes on a basis where YOU determine the outcome. You paint your own picture, man. You gotta make your own way in life. In life, you’re gonna be denied ninety-nine percent of the time. Chances are there’s gonna be quite a few people that tell you that you can’t accomplish your goals or your dreams. Anyone that’s listening and knows my story…Hell, I lied to get onto Tough Enough. The guy that was closest to my age was ten years younger than me. I was forty years old, so you can do the math.

It’s never too late man. If you truly believe in yourself and you go by the correct path to make your dream come true. You have to work. The difference between successful and non-successful people are the people that actually believe in themselves. They have pride in themselves. They take a leap of faith. Believe in yourself one hundred percent, wholeheartedly. Regardless If your closest friends or closest family member may tell you, “No I don’t think that you can do it.” Screw that. As long as you believe it in your heart and soul baby, the world is yours.
