Black Mirror (Channel 4 -UK 2011-2014, Netflix 2015-present)

Black Mirror originally aired in 2011 on Channel 4 in the UK years before its Netflix debut. The first season was critically acclaimed and changed television in many ways. Each episode is different but they all end the same with a fade to black and a reflection of the person who is watching. Each episode the characters are faced in a dystopian society. The show offers an almost Twilight Zone experience while capturing the downfall of man in a technology controlled future.

The stories explore and anxious state of paranoia using fear as the director. The anthology also takes into account how technology can turn on society in an instance, and the downfall of what happens. Each story features its own cast of prodigious characters who also hold their own mysteries. The overall message of Black Mirror is understanding the complex human dynamic that technology has created. When looking for the problem we need to only look into a mirror.
