Monocle Society founder Kyle Kinkade sat with Pop Break’s Comic Book Editor Rachel Freeman, staff writer Bryant Donato, and Doug Vehovec from Nerdarchy at PAX Unplugged in Philadelphia to discuss the new RPG Weave.
As cool and fun and amazing as RPGs are, they can be incredibly difficult for new people to get in to. They often have complicated systems with lots of lore, weapons, creatures, and general content to keep up with. What’s more is that often people who play consistently already have a group they play with and it can be hard for newcomers to join an established game. Not to mention how much of a pain it can be to meet up for a campaign every week. Well, that’s where Weave comes in.
Weave is a dice-driven narrative storytelling system that enables groups to role-play with minimal preparation time. Published by Monocle Society, Weave features a companion app which helps to connect players and spur creativity in telling a unique story.
