TV Break #1: The Outsider, Streaming Wars & What to Watch in January

Welcome to TV Break, the monthly television podcast of The Pop Break!

Newly minted Television Editor Alex Marcus is joined by editor-in-chief Bill Bodkin, and senior columnist Josh Sarnecky to talk about the happenings in television.

Here’s the format of the show:

The Best Thing I Saw on TV Last Month – Alex, Bill, and Josh talk about a show/episode/event we liked from the last month. Enjoy when Bill sings the wildly popular song — “Throw a Coin to Your Witcher.” (Spoilers: This is the same guy who sang the theme song).

Streaming Wars – Alex, Bill, and Josh picks a streamer they think “won the month” based on new shows airing/upcoming shows announced etc. Alex brings up a streamer that you might not be thinking about (Spoilers: It’s not Disney Plus).

News You Can Use – Alex, Bill, and Josh focus on the news around NBC’s new streaming platform, Peacock, and why it’s just so vague and bizarre.

Featured Review – Alex, Bill, and Josh review HBO’s much-ballyhooed adaptation of Stephen King’s book, The Outsider.

TV Break will be following this format for all of 2020 with Alex, Bill, and Josh at the helm, and who knows maybe we’ll see some guest spots from the amazing staff of Pop Break. There’s a lot of television happening in 2020, and we’re going to be excited to talk about all of it!
