The Bachelor – Peter Weber – Season 24 Episode 4
Chris Harrison met with the girls and addressed all the drama regarding Alaya. He told them that the girls are going to Cleveland, OH and their reactions were PRICELESS. It was so obvious that they were expecting somewhere tropical or exotic, but instead they’re going to Ohio.
Solo Date
Participant – Victoria F.
Prompt – “Today our love soars to new heights”
So, Victoria F. is petrified of pretty much everything. Peter is going to take her flying and she’s very nervous. They went up in a plane, which freaked her out, then they went to Cedar Point and went on the ride that slingshots you up into the air, which freaked her out as well, although she seemed to have a fun.
Peter tells Victoria that he has a surprise for her, and he walks her to a Chase Rice concert. Apparently, Chase and Victoria used to date, which was super awkward. What’s especially awkward was watching Peter and Victoria slow dancing in front of Chase while he’s performing for them. At the end of the song, Peter pulled Victoria into a kiss and you clearly saw Chase’s face cringe a bit.
Let me tell you that some producer definitely did their homework on the girls and found out that Victoria dated Chase, pulled him into an episode, and specifically got Victoria onto a one-on-one date with Peter with Chase being the guest musician. This made for some good television. During the episode, Chase mentioned to Victoria that he had no idea that she would be on this one-on-one, which meant that the producers worked really hard to get this set up.
During the dinner portion of the date, Victoria told Peter that she used to date Chase. Peter seemed really put off by the news, which is bizarre because it shouldn’t matter. It’s someone she used to date, who she no longer has feelings for, who she broke up with prior to being on the show. Victoria walked away and cried and eventually Peter came to comfort her. He mentioned that all he asked for during the show was honesty and trust and he respected her for telling him the truth. He mentioned that she didn’t do anything wrong. They resolved the weirdness and Victoria F. got the date rose.
Group Date
Participants – Victoria P, Kiara, Kelley, Deandra, Madison, Lexi, Shiann, Tammy, Sydney, Hannah Ann, Savannah, Mykenna
Prompt – “Let’s tackle love together”
Peter admitted to loving football and he got Josh Chris and Hanford Dickson to play some football with them. Victoria P. was on the sidelines because she had a hurt back and didn’t want to agitate it by playing football. So, she ended up sitting with Peter on the sideline and got some alone time with him.
They played an actual football game where the winning team would go to an afterparty and the losers would have to go home. What sucked is that the game ended in a tie, so all the girls ended up going to the afterparty.
Due to the fact that all the girls would be going, they would end up fighting over time because there are thirteen girls on this date. Victoria P. asked to steal him first, which I didn’t think was entirely fair since she recently had the one-on-one and she had a lot of solo time during that group date.
Alayah showed up to the group date, as if there wasn’t already enough women to deal with, she asked to steal time with him. Alayah claimed that she was close with Victoria P. and that they had planned a trip to Vegas together. She claimed that she had nothing to gain from this so why would she lie about it. Peter then sat with Victoria P. and asked about Vegas and apparently, THEY WENT TO VEGAS TOGETHER. So, Peter pulled Alayah and Victoria P. into a room together and Alayah was basically like WTF. They agreed that they had a lot of friends together and it’s clear that they’ve definitely known each other for more than just a few hours as Victoria originally claimed.
The girls are frustrated that they aren’t getting their time with Peter. He spoke with Alayah and admitted that he made a mistake. Peter invited Alayah to come back to the house. He gave the date rose to Alayah! SURPRISE BITCHES! So, most of the girls didn’t get time with him, and a girl was added back to the roster. The date ends with Peter not speaking to most of the girls.
Solo Date
Participant – Kelsey
The first thing Peter did was tell Kelsey that he accepted Alaya back into the house. She didn’t seem thrilled about it, but they continued with their date anyway. They danced in the street and had a good date. Quite frankly, the rest of the date was a little bland. She told a sob story during the dinner portion of the date, he told her that he respected her, and she got the date rose.
Back at the house, Victoria F. confronted Alayah for telling people about her previous relationship with Chase Rice. Since the other girls didn’t have access to their cell phones, they obviously didn’t know about it. Victoria said that Alayah was purposefully stirring the pot and she planned on talking to Peter about the whole thing.
Cocktail Hour
A lot of the girls spoke up before the Cocktail Hour to tell Peter how much they were hurting from him giving the group date rose to Alayah after that date. He pulled Victoria P. to the side and she was very upset with him. She felt like he was blaming her for why he sent Alayah home in the first place.
Victoria F. told Peter that Alayah had told the other girls about the Chase Rice situation that they were both in. Now Peter felt like he messed up. Sydeny brought up a good point where she said she felt like she didn’t have the opportunity to talk to him.
While talking with Peter, Alayah told him that she felt like the other girls were ripping her to shreds.
“To be continued”
During the credits scene they usually show a cute part of one of the solo dates that happens during the episode. The Bachelor Season 24 Episode 4 credits scene saw Victoria F. playing basketball with Peter. The entire scene was really fun and cute, except there was a moment when Peter took a shot and Victoria shouted “KOBE!”, which, in any other situation would have been fine, but the timing couldn’t have been worse. Something like that could come across as insensitive since Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter accident on Sunday, January 26th. And this episode aired on Monday, January 27th. I know the show was pre-recorded, but it feels a bit unsettling to hear his name used like that so shortly after his unexpected debt.
