Spoilers fromIssue #1 incoming. If you’re okay with that, you’ve come to the right place. If you’re not okay with that stop here.
At the end of issue #1 things seemed to be going very well for Charlotte. She was rubbing elbows with some of her favorite detectives. She even won a prestigious award in the last year of her eligibility. Oh, and she went to jail for murder. Yea, there was the twist.
Wicked Things #2 picks up in the Savoy Hotel. Everyone Charlotte interacted with is being questioned. Things are looking very bad for our girl. She didn’t exactly make a good impression with most of her peers. Charlotte isn’t fairing too well eating budget baked beans while being held in police custody.
And, that leads us to the questioning. If you recall Charlotte was actually a big fan of Kendo Miyamoto. She fan-girled upon meeting him, and his translator…oh, his translator. She sure did a number on twisting Charlotte’s words to Miyamoto. Thankfully for Lottie she is able to get a lawyer, Sunny.
And, poor Claire is back at the hotel trying to convince a room full of pretentious detectives that Lottie is innocent. And, thankfully Lottie does have friends that have her back. Her mom and sister fly in to England to give support.
Lottie is determined to prove she’s innocent. She has an entire list of possible suspects. What else could go wrong? I mean, she’s already being charged with attempted murder, right?
The bottom line — Wicked Things #2 brings more twists and turns to the story and it ends on another note that will make issue #3 even more interesting. But, of course I avoided spoilers. I look forward to reading the next issue. Any fan of detectives and sleuths needs to read Wicked Things .
