Aaron and Josh Sarnecky are joined by Editor-in-Chief Bill Bodkin for their podcast on Inception‘s 10th anniversary.
Inception debuted in theaters on July 16th, 2010. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Dom Cobb, a thief who steals secrets from people’s minds instead tasked with planting an idea in someone’s head. The film stars an ensemble cast, featuring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, Ken Watanabe, Tom Hardy, and Dileep Rao as Cobb’s team. The target is played by Cillian Murphy while Tom Berenger plays Murphy’s business confidant. Rounding out the cast is Marion Cotillard as Cobb’s wife and Michael Caine as his mentor and father-in-law.
Inception garnered critical acclaim and was a box office mega-hit, raking in $828 million. It earned eight Oscar nominations, including Best Original Screenplay and Best Picture. It won for Sound Mixing, Sound Editing, Visual Effects, and Cinematography.
Aaron, Josh, and Bill go over the movie’s elements, including the plot, the characters, the action, and the score. The trio also discuss their interpretations of Inception‘s famously ambiguous ending.
