Socially Distanced Podcast Episode #21: Special Guest Tommy Siegel

Episode 21 is in the books and it’s easily one of the best episodes we’ve done so far! Why, well that’s because Al Mannarino and Bill Bodkin have a very special surprise for you.

We have a guest! Yes, special guest Tommy Siegel (singer/guitarist of Jukebox the Ghost) joins Al and Bill to talk about his upcoming book (I Hope This Helps) and debut solo album (Another Century Wasted).

They also discussed the current state of the music industry, the genesis of his daily comics project, recording music during a pandemic, and much much more.

This Week’s Music in a Time of Quarantine:

Al’s Pick: MTV Unplugged, Bleachers

Bill’s Pick: No Instructions, The Happy Fits

Tommy’s Pick: Future Teenage Cave Artists, Deerhoof

Stick around till the end when Tommy discusses what he’s been binging during his time in quarantine as well.

This is a really fun episode and one loaded with history as we first me Tommy five years ago performing with Jukebox the Ghost at a small craft beer festival in New Jersey and it’s been a real honor to watch the band blow up and his comics (which get us by on the regular) become a cultural phenomenon.
