The stars of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) will be reenacting iconic scenes from the classic film A Christmas Story — for a bit of fun and for charity awareness.
The scenes will run as interstitials during TNT and TBS’ annual 24-hour A Christmas Story marathon which begins on Thursday December 24. The marathon and interstitials will also air on TNT.tv and TNT’s YouTube page.
The reenactments will not only be a good laugh for wrestling fans, but will also be raising awareness for KultureCity — the country’s “leading nonprofit on sensory accessibility for those with autism, PTSD, anxiety and other sensory ailments.”
Starting Wednesday December 23, fans and non-fans can logon to AEWCares.com and make a donation to the charity.
The cast of AEW’s reenactment were voted on earlier this fall when the red hot wrestling promotion posted a poll via Twitter allowing fans to choose who would re-create the cast.
The cast is as follows:
- MJF (Maxwell Jacob Friedman) as Ralphie
- “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes as Mr. and Mrs. Parker
- “Le Champion” Chris Jericho as Santa Claus
- “The Mad King” Eddie Kingston as Schwartz
- Scorpio Sky as Randy
- Ortiz (of The Inner Circle) as Flick
- Dr. Britt Baker DMD as Miss Shields
- “Absolute” Ricky Starks as Farkus
- Allie as Dill
- Frankie Kazarian as the Elf
- Luchasaurus as the Freight Man
- Narration and stage direction read by AEW announcers Jim Ross and Tony Schiavone
Additionally, AEW Dynamite will air a special “Holiday Bash” episode on December 23 at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT following the NBA game on TNT.
