One Last Stop Before Wrestlemania: Elimination Chamber 2022 Predictions

Written By: Kimmy Sokol

On November 4th, 2019 WWE expanded its deal with Saudi Arabia through 2027, anticipating two live shows a year. This Saturday’s Elimination Chamber will be the seventh pay-per-view that takes place in the Middle East, and also the first Saudi Arabia event with three women’s matches. With Wrestlemania matches at stake here are my Elimination Chamber predictions:

Rey Mysterio vs The Miz: Over the last several weeks WWE has hinted at the father-son duo being split up and them facing each other at the show of shows. Can I possibly see Dominick costing Rey this match to start their feud… yeah. This match should be great regardless as these two are legendary performers. Sorry Rey, Saturday will only be awesome for the must-see superstar in WWE.

Winner: The Miz

Ronda Rousey and Naomi vs Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville: The jacket will be off this Saturday for WWE’s management member Sonya Deville. However, Deville makes history as the first-ever openly gay superstar to be competiting in Saudi Arabia. This match is a setup for two Wrestlemania matches, the main event of night one in Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair and then Sonya Deville vs Naomi. With the “Rowdy” one on the card, I can not see the faces losing in this match

Winners: Ronda Rousey and Naomi

Women’s Elimination Chamber Match: Liv Morgan vs Rhea Ripley vs Bianca Belair vs Doudrop vs Nikki A.S.H. vs Alexa Bliss: The elimination chamber match is so much fun and the lineups for both the men’s and women’s matches prove that these matches are going to be fun. The winner of this match is most likely going to face the winner of Becky Lynch vs Lita for the Raw Women’s Championship at Wrestlemania. With Alexa Bliss being added to this match last minute she is definitely a dark horse in this match-up. Rhea Ripley also had a great showing on Raw this past Monday lasting 45 minutes in the gauntlet match. However, the EST of WWE is going to be punching her ticket to Wrestlemania to fight for the Raw Women’s Championship

Winner: Bianca Belair

Falls Count Anywhere: Drew McIntrye vs Madcap Moss: When Drew came back at the Royal Rumble I was shocked. Rumors of Drew having lingering neck issues made it seem like he was out for the biggest show of the year. This feud has been interesting and definitely not what I saw Drew doing in 2022. Anticipating Drew has a big match at Wrestlemania, he can not afford a loss here.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns vs Goldberg: The match that did not happen at Wrestlemania 36, due to COVID-19. This should be Goldberg’s last match based on his current deal and this will be a great way to finish out. This match should be no longer than 10 minutes with Reigns winning big to go on to his main event match at Wrestlemania against Brock Lesnar.

Winner: Roman Reigns

Smackdown Tag Team Championships; The Usos vs The Viking Raiders: If there is one thing WWE desperately needs to fix is their tag team division. WWE either makes too many make-shift teams or just breaks up tag teams for no reason, which is why tag team matches are so predictable. I can not see any scenario where the Usos lose here.

Winners: The Usos

Raw Women’s Championship Match: Lita vs Becky Lynch: These two women have shaped what women’s wrestling is today. Being close friends in real life this match is going to be outstanding. You can tell Lita is having so much fun on this current run which is always great to see. Unfortunately, the Queen of Extreme is not ready for “The Man” in the prime of her career.

Winner: Becky Lynch

Men’s Elimination Chamber Match: Bobby Lashley vs Brock Lesnar vs Seth Rollins vs Austin Theory vs Riddle vs AJ Styles: If you read my Royal Rumble predictions, my vision did not come true, the Seth Rollins redemption tour to Dallas has come to a standstill. However, he has another chance to become champion heading into Wrestlemania if he wins the Elimination Chamber match. Unfortunately for me, that will not be happening. The main question going into this match is are WWE going to unify the titles at Wrestlemania. If Brock can win the chamber the winner of the main event at the show of shows will walk out with both the Universal and World Heavyweight championship. You also have a dark horse in AJ Styles who can definitely have a great showing here and walk into Wrestlemania as champion. With rumors of Cody Rhodes coming back home to the WWE, you are also to wonder if anyone but Lesnar wins is that who Rhodes will be facing? Sadly, it looks as if WWE will be unifying the titles, bye-bye brand split.

Winner: Brock Lesnar

The Elimination Chamber 2022 airs Saturday, February 19th exclusively on Peacock.
