Aaron and Josh Sarnecky are here with a retrospective on The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius for its 20th anniversary.
Based on a pilot and Oscar-nominated feature film, the series was created by John A. Davis. It premiered on Nickelodeon on July 20, 2002. It ended on November 25, 2006, after 61 episodes. It also had three crossover specials with The Fairly Oddparents.
The show follows 10-year-old Jimmy Neutron (Debi Derryberry). Despite his genius, Jimmy’s inventions get him into trouble on numerous occasions. His best friends are Carl Wheezer (Rob Paulsen) and Sheen Estevez (Jeffrey Garcia). He has a love-hate relationship with his rival, Cindy Vortex (Carolyn Lawrence). Her best friend is Libby Folfax (Crystal Scales).
Sheen received his own spinoff, Planet Sheen, which ran from 2010 to 2013.
Aaron and Josh look at the series premiere, going into the show’s characters, comedy, and animation. They also speculate about a Paramount+ reboot like the new Rugrats.
