Remember Jones tore the roof off the The Stone Pony back in July for Summer Slay which was not only an album release party for the latest album, HAHA BITCH!, but none other than Remember Jones’ front man himself, Anthony D’Amato’s birthday bash. If you haven’t heard of Anthony D’Amato aka Remember Jones yet, where have you been?
The national rising talent and a staple of the Asbury Park Music scene for years, Remember Jones is bold, playfully defiant and puts on one hell of a show. One part Broadway musical, another part rock opera with equal parts glitter bomb, this particular show came complete with multiple costume changes, ruby glitter heels, drag queens, mannequin heads, a full band and a cameo from the cast of “American Idiot” of the Asbury Park Theater Company.
All aspects have been carefully woven together and curated by the unique and charismatic Remember Jones himself, who never stops on stage. He played off the energy of the crowd all night, a packed house with everyone on their feet and was only stopped in his tracks when a cast member came out with a birthday cake for all of to sing him a happy birthday.
One thing is for certain, Remember Jones was born to entertain and if Summer Slay was any indication of things to come, the rising star is only going to get brighter.
