The summer classic has returned.
The Hi-Tide Summer Holiday, the premier surf music festival in the world curated by Hi-Tide Recordings, has announced its lineup for its 2023 show.
One of the all-time great instrumental surf bands of all time, The Ventures will headline the show. The band is best known for their iconic instrumental songs “Hawaii 5-0” (the theme song to the original, iconic crime series) and “Walk, Don’t Run.”
Joining The Ventures will be:
- The 5.6.7.8s – The legendary Japanese band featured in Kill Bill Volume 1.
- Messer Chups
- The Surfrajettes – Who performed at Sea.Hear.Now 2022
- Los Tiki Phantoms – Direct from Spain
- Televisionaries & Les Greene – Greene was the Grammy-nominated voice of Little Richard in Baz Luhrman’s Oscar nominated film Elvis
- Surfer Joe – Direct from Italy
- Ichi-Bons – Who were recently on tour with Jack White
- Slowey & The Boats – The Philadelphia-based surf-jazz band
- The Jazztronauts
There will also be dancing with an all-star lineup of DJs curated by Jukebox Jodi (Chills ’n’ Fever NYC).

Originally known as the Asbury Park Surf Music Festival, the Hi-Tide Summer Holiday began in 2014 at The Asbury Lanes as a gathering of bands, fans, artists & vendors from the Tri-State area who shared a passion for surf music & tropical cocktails. Hi-Tide Recordings is an international record label group and lifestyle brand based in Freehold, New Jersey, USA. Founders Vincent Minervino and Magdalena O’Connell started out as fans & performers of surf music, and have grown the label into the global leader of the genre. In 2022, the brand expanded with the addition of Nu-Tone, to release jazz, garage, latin music & more.
