Poor Impact Wrestling.
In a mere 24 hours apart they lost both their Knockouts and the World Heavyweight Champion due to injury. This is the first time in Impact history that we are guaranteed BOTH a brand new Knockouts and World Heavyweight champion. With nine matches on the card and heated rivalries coming to an end here are my Rebellion predictions.
Pre-Show:
Heath & Rhyno vs Champagne Singh & Shera:
If there is one thing for sure is that the duo of Rhyno and Heath have definitely shined in Impact. This should be a fun match to kick off the show Heath and Rhyno get the win to begin an amazing night of action.
Winners: Heath and Rhyno
Impact Knockouts World Tag Team Championship: The Coven (KiLynn King & Taylor Wilde) vs The Death Dollz (Jessicka Havoc & Rosemary):
The team of Wilde and King has been nothing short of impressive. Seeing King get the spotlight she deserves on a bigger stage is great to see, especially having the veteran Wilde teaching her the way. It is too soon to take the titles off The Coven; they are on fire right now.
Winners: “And Still” The Coven (Taylor Wilde & KiLynn King)
Main Card:
Last Rites Match: PCO vs Eddie Edwards:
The former members of Honor No More colliding, how exciting! What is not exciting is the return of a last-rites match. This match is basically a casket match, however, the casket gets lowered in the ring instead of you carrying your opponent to ringside. Although PCO is the bad guy in this situation, this stipulation seems to favor him. Besides, can’t we all envision Alisha screaming at PCO at the end that he “buried” her husband, just me okay?
Winner: PCO
Dirty Dango, Joe Hendry, & Santino Marella vs The Design (Deaner, Angels, and Callihan):
Joe Hendry is my personal favorite recent Impact signing, that guy just gets it. Everyone sings his song and truly believes in him. This is Marella’s first match in Impact which can be interesting, meaning that he is the Director of Authority. The faces should win here with Marella delivering the Cobra as revenge for what The Design has put him through the last couple of weeks.
Winners: Dirty Dango, Joe Hendry, & Santino Marella
Ultimate X for the Impact Tag Team Championships: Bullet Club (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) vs Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin):
There have been nine different tag team Ultimate X matches with MCMG winning three of those nine. In singles competition, the combo of Shelley & Sabin has won six of the past 47 Ultimate X matches. This has the chance to be the match of the whole pay-per-view because these four are super talented and this stipulation favors all men involved. With the Bullet Club soaring up to new heights, it is not right to take the titles off Bey and Austin just yet. Too Sweet!
Winners: “And Still” Ace Austin & Chris Bey
X-Division Championship: Trey Miguel vs “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs Jonathan Gresham:
When you think of an X-Division champion you think of a fast-paced wrestler who’s young and needs that big push before challenging for the world heavyweight title. Unfortunately, Gresham does not fit that bill so he will not be winning this match. Bailey however could use this win. He had a fantastic match against Tanahashi at Impact Multiverse United (not biased because I was there live) and he needed a win. Miguel has held the title for a while now there needs to be a new face of the X-Division!
Winner: “And New” “Speedball” Mike Bailey
10 Wrestler Hardcore War: Team Dreamer (Tommy Dreamer, Bhupinder Gujjar, Frankie Kazarian, Killer Kelly, & Yuya) vs Team Bully Ray: (Bully Ray, Brian Myers, Kenny King, Masha Slammovich, & Moose):
Impact is just bringing back all the stipulations for this pay-per-view, aren’t they? This match is essentially a no-DQ match and anything goes. Now, however, as this match goes this feud needs to end. This has DRAGGED out for SO long. The good thing about this though is the women are involved which is exciting and Kelly and Slamovich are perfect for this situation, especially since Slamovich is GCW World Heavyweight Champion. Since this is hopefully the end of this feud Dreamer and his posse should win this one.
Winners: Team Dreamer: (Tommy Dreamer, Bhupinder Gujjar, Frankie Kazarian, Killer Kelly, & Yuya)
Impact Knockout’s Championship: Deonna Purrazzo vs Jordynne Grace:
Both of these women are attempting to become three-time Knockout’s Champions which is cool. Now if Purrazzo and Maclin win they will be the third husband and wife world heavyweight champions in Impact history. Since Impact seems to be all about the first ever’s Purrazzo seems to be the best choice to win this match. Alongside the fact that she is a champion is Purrazzo at her best. Plus we can see the rematch between James and Purrazzo when she is cleared!
Winner: “And New” Deonna Purrazzo
Impact World Heavyweight Championship: Kushida vs Steve Maclin:
This was the saddest relinquishing of the title segment I have ever seen. The way Alexander’s son runs to get back the title his dad never lost, wow. The sad part about this is Alexander is the longest-reigning Impact World Champion, and his reign ended short due to injury. As far as this match, this is Maclin’s time. Impact has been polishing Maclin since he came into Impact and in the last year, he has gotten over with the fans and had several huge wins. This is his and Purrazo’s moment to shine!
Winner: “And New” Steve Maclin
