The Socially Distanced Podcast is a podcast hosted by two pop culture obsessed dads who were stuck in quarantine and decided to take their Facebook messenger conversations and turn them into a podcast. In 2022 they brought their friend, a pop culture obsessed mom to the show, and things got even better!

Join hosts Al Mannarino, Amanda Rivas and Bill Bodkin as they discuss everything in the world movies, music, sports, television and pop culture — everything keeping them sane in this time of socially distancing. This podcast is powered by ThePopBreak.com.

The Socially Distanced crew pre-games Star Wars Day aka May the 4th with a special Star Wars-centric episode.

“The Human Star Wars Encyclopedia” Amanda Rivas & Bill Bodkin share hosting duties and are joined by Pop Break Podcast Director Alex Marcus and “The Commander of Our Hearts” Ben Murchison to discuss all things from a galaxy far, far away.

They kick things off with a look back at Return of the Jedi, which was re-released in theaters to celebrate its 40th Anniversary. The gang discuss their first time seeing the film, Bill sings the Ewok song, they talk about the film’s lasting impact and they remark on the savagery of those cuddly little bears.

The conversation shifts to talk about random and beloved Star Wars memorabilia including some wild dog toys, Star Wars IP that Disney should turn into a movie or show, and everyone’s outlook on the future of Star Wars.

Finally, Amanda gets Bill to finally watch Star Wars Rebels. Well, that’s not the important part, but it did happen. Amanda focuses on four key Rebels episodes that could have a direct impact on the upcoming Ahsoka series.
