The Socially Distanced Podcast is a podcast hosted by two pop culture obsessed dads who were stuck in quarantine and decided to take their Facebook messenger conversations and turn them into a podcast. In 2022 they brought their friend, a pop culture obsessed mom to the show, and things got even better!
Join hosts Al Mannarino, Amanda Rivas and Bill Bodkin as they discuss everything in the world movies, music, sports, television and pop culture — everything keeping them sane in this time of socially distancing. This podcast is powered by ThePopBreak.com.
Pop Break throws it back for their rewatch of the Indiana Jones film franchise as the final installment of the series just premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
Host Bill Bodkin is joined by “The Human Star Wars Encyclopedia” Amanda Rivas and “The Commander of our Hearts” Ben Murchison to discuss Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom.
They talk about Raiders and its historical cinematic significance, its most memorable lines, Paul Freeman’s performance as Indy’s antagonist Belloq, the near casting of Tom Selleck and Danny DeVito, and their favorite parts of the film.
For Temple of Doom, Ben defends the film from Amanda and Bill’s criticism, but all three admit the film has not aged well at all with time. They discuss Kate Capshaw’s role, Ke Huy Quan’s performance and if we’d like to see him return to the franchise, and the decision to make the film a prequel.
hey also discuss the Dial of Destiny and their hype level, Amanda’s unquenchable thirst for Harrison Ford, whether Ford’s best role was Han or Indy and so much more.
Raiders of the Lost Ark and Temple of Doom are both streaming on Paramount+ until May 30, then all the Indiana Jones properties move to Disney+ on May 31, 2023.
Whether you’re into comedy classics like Beverly Hills Cop, hit blockbusters like Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, or thoughtful dramas like Fences, Paramount+ has something for every movie lover.
