After going PERFECT last week and defeating Mike, we are back for the second week in a row. This time we are talking all about Money in the Bank 2023. 13 superstars will climb the ladder and hope to retrieve a briefcase where at any time and anywhere they can cash in for a title match. This premium live event will emulate from the United Kingdom for the first time ever, and will also feature a Bloodline Civil War. Now, let’s not waste any time, since I am looking to go 2-0 against Mike this month.
WWE Intercontinental Championship: Gunther vs Matt Riddle
Kimmy: There is not much to say about this match. Gunther is slowly creeping into being the longest intercontinental champion in WWE history, and WWE is not going to ruin that now. Gunther wins this match easily.
Mike: This very well could be the match of the night. Say what you will about Riddle, the dude delivers in the ring. We all know what Gunther can do, and these two in the ring are sure to deliver a hard hitting match that will keep the European crowd on its feet the whole time. While Riddle certainly has more WWE gold in his future, this will not be the night it happens.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Ronda Rousey & Shayna Bazler vs Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez
Kimmy: Morgan coming back way ahead of schedule is a huge win for WWE, as she is one of the more popular women’s wrestlers on the roster. Sadly, she is going to lose this match. Rousey wants to compete in the tag division, and now that she is one-half of the unified Tag Team Champions, she is going to remain on top for a long time to come.
Winners: “And Still” Ronda Rousey & Shayna Bazler
Mike: Raquel Rodriguez has an amazing career ahead of her if she can stay healthy and continue to grow as a performer at the rate she’s currently on. She’s ready to be in a main event title spot, but first she’s gonna have to do the job to a team who needs to go on a nice long, healthy run and put some prestige on the tag team title.
Winners: “And Still” Ronda Rousey & Shayna Bazler
Bloodline Civil War: The Bloodline (Roman Reigns & Sola Sikoa) vs The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso)
Kimmy: There are many different ways this match can go, especially with the tease of a huge surprise happening at the end of this match. To me, Sikoa siding with his brothers at the end of this match makes the most sense. This will be the ultimate demise of our Tribal Chief as for the first time since pre-pandemic it is just him and Paul Heyman guiding through the crazy world of WWE.
Winners: The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso)
Mike: The problem with this though, is people (read: me) don’t want to cheer Solo. They enjoy booing him, and for that reason, I don’t see Solo turning on Roman. I think this match needs to go to Roman and Solo, with this chapter of the bloodline hopefully closing at SummerSlam with Roman vs Jey. Jimmy eats the pin.
Winners: Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa
World Heavyweight Championship: Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor
Kimmy: This will be your match of the night, especially if this is anything like their match seven years ago. If the title already gets passed around like a hot potato no one is going to take the title seriously. Plus we’ve waited four years for Rollins to hold world heavyweight gold again, I personally need it longer than a month.
Winner: “And Still” Seth Rollins
Mike: This will be a very good match, though probably not your match of the night. Not to sound like a broken record here, but we need to put some prestige on this title, and a nice long healthy run will do just that. Seth needs this win, and while the story kind of writes itself, it does seem a bit rushed for Finn to be a real threat to the title.
Winner: “And Still” Seth Rollins
Cody Rhodes vs Dominick Mysterio
Kimmy: Upset alert, Mysterio takes this one. Remember a couple of weeks ago when Rhodes laid out an open challenge to Lesnar saying he can answer at any time? This weekend will be the exact time he accepts the open challenge for Summerslam. Besides the other two members of Judgment Day who are competing and losing, someone has to win right?
Mike: I wouldn’t hate an upset here, but this match is as 1988 as you can get. Cody is a baby face we all love (merch sales don’t lie), and Dominik is a heel we all love to hate. Sometimes, you just gotta give the people what they want. Brock does interfere here, but not till after the match is over.
Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Zelina Vega vs Becky Lynch vs Zoey Starks vs Bayley vs Iyo Sky vs Trish Stratus
Kimmy: Fun facts, although Stratus is already a WWE Hall of Famer, this is her first-ever ladder match! How exciting. This has Iyo Sky written all over it. Asuka and Sky have already started feuding on Smackdown and the big match in Detroit is what everyone wants to see.
Mike: I agree that Iyo vs Asuka is money, and the smart money is probably on her, but this seems like there’s five people who all have some kind of intertwined beef with each other, and then there’s lil ol Zelina Vega hanging out over here by herself. This is a long shot, but something is pointing me toward Zelina Vega, and I can’t ignore it.
Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Ricochet vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs LA Knight vs Santos Escobar vs Butch vs Damian Priest vs Logan Paul
Kimmy:Is Logan Paul probably going to win this? Yes. Am I picking him? No. Last month, I said Rollins was winning the title because he stopped live events for over 10 minutes with fans singing his song. LA Knight has that same reaction. He gets the biggest pop every Friday night, and if he does not win there will be many angry fans in the UK. Let’s hope I am right and WWE does the right thing.
Mike: *Channels inner Randy Savage* I told everybody BEFORE IT HAPPENED! For two months now I’ve told you how this was going to go, and all you had to do was listen. Well now that time is gone and there’s nothing left to do but face the music! Logan Paul IS your Money in the Bank winner, Dig it?!
WWE Money in the Bank 2023 is streaming live on Peacock Saturday, July 1st at 3 PM EST
The current record in Mike vs Kimmy is 4-3-5 in favor of Mike.
