The Socially Distanced Podcast is a podcast hosted by two pop culture obsessed dads who were stuck in quarantine and decided to take their Facebook messenger conversations and turn them into a podcast. In 2022 they brought their friend, a pop culture-obsessed mom to the show, and things got even better!

Join hosts Al Mannarino, Amanda Rivas and Bill Bodkin as they discuss everything in the world movies, music, sports, television and pop culture — everything keeping them sane in this time of socially distancing. This podcast is powered by ThePopBreak.com.

Ahsoka continues its run of excellent episodes and Socially Distanced is here to talk all about it.

“The Human Star Wars Encyclopedia” Amanda Rivas hosts Episode 177 which takes a deep dive into the “purgill’s mouth” of Ahsoka Episode 6, “Far, Far Away.” Amanda is joined by Bill Bodkin and Ben Murchison to discuss this episode that featured not one, but two major character reveals — Grand Admiral Thrawn and Ezra Bridger.

In the episode the trio of wandering Jedi discuss the motives behind Baylin’s quest for power, Shinn’s potential face turn, the menace of Lars Mikkelesen’s performance as Grand Admiral Thrawn, zombie Stormtroopers, space witches, ninja turtles, the quickness with which Sabine found Ezra, and the weaknesses of the episode plus tons of theories on where the final two episodes could take the series.

In addition to Ahsoka, Amanda, Ben and Bill discuss the Buffy the Vampire Slayer reunion coming from Audible. The reunion features longtime, original cast members like James Marsters, Charisma Carpenter and Anthony Stewart Head.

Also, stay for the BANTER after our commercial break as we didn’t realize we were still recording!
