The Biggest Show of the Year: Bound for Glory 2023 Predictions:

WWE has Wrestlemania, AEW has All In, and Impact has Bound for Glory. This year Impact is going all out with their show this year. A dream match, multiple title opportunities, a monster ball, and the traditional Call Your Shot Battle Royal. Even though this is unlikely, they might have a certain huge star from Chicago show up as well. With all that being said, let’s predict Bound for Glory and hope I do way better than my 1-7 performance last year.

Monster’s Ball Match: PCO vs Rhino vs Steve Maclin vs Moose: With PCO’s contract expiring later this month I can not see him winning this match. Wrestling 101 if you are leaving you never win your last match. To me, you have to give this match to Moose. He won the future World Championship Match in the Feast or Fired match a couple of weeks ago and you would want him to have a huge win going into that match.

Winner: Moose

Impact Knockouts Tag Team Championships: MK Ultra (Killer Kelly and Masha Slamovich) vs Deonna Purrazzo and Tasha Steelz: Impact seems to be going full force on the Purrazzo and Steelz tag team. With Purrazzo’s Impact contract expiring in the next couple of months, you wonder what they are going to do with her until then. For that reason alone, MK Ultra will retain the tag titles after Steelz turns her back on Purrazzo in the match.

Winner: “And Still” MK Ultra (Killer Kelly and Masha Slamovich)

Impact Tag Team Championships The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) vs ABC (Ace Austin and Chris Bey): I am such a huge fan of ABC and I loved their initial tag team title run that they had earlier this year. This match can go both ways. Both teams have a reason to win the titles and there are a lot of hungry teams in the division that both teams can go after. I’ll go with ABC to pick up the gold.

Winners: “And New” ABC (Ace Austin and Chris Bey)

Call Your Shot Gauntlet Battle Royal: Jake Something vs Dirty Dango vs Champagne Singh vs Eric Young vs Jordynne Grace vs Brian Myers vs Shera vs KiLynn King vs Jody Threat vs Bully Ray vs 10 TBD’s: Anyone but Bully Ray this year, please. Given who has been announced right now I’ll go with Eric Young that could be a fun match with whoever wins the main event later on in the evening.

Winner: Eric Young

Impact Knockouts Womens Championship: Trinity vs Mickie James: This is going to be such a great match. Trinity has been on one hell of a run. She has definitely grown in the ring as well as on the microphone you can tell she is having fun with what she is doing right now in Impact. Although James did not lose the title, as she had to vacate it earlier this year due to injury, I can not see her winning. Trinity will glow bright to retain her title here.

Winner: “And Still” Trinity

X Division Championship: Chris Sabin vs Kenta: Sabin made history at Impact 1000 when he became the first 10-time X Division Champion. Kenta has been all over in 2023, notably in New Japan and other independent promotions around the world. Given that he is not signed to Impact full time I can not see him winning the X Division Championship.

Winner: “And Still” Chris Sabin

“Speedball” Mike Bailey vs Will Ospreay: A dream match and a possible MOTY candidate for many wrestling fans. Bailey has lost a lot this year in Impact so he definitely needs a big win going into 2024, but you do not bring in Osprey to lose. Osprey is involved in one of the bigger storylines in AEW with the Don Callis Family and with all the hype surrounding him I can not see him losing this match.

Winner: Will Ospreay

Impact World Heavyweight Championship: Alex Shelley vs Josh Alexander: Unfortunately, after BFG Motor City Machine Guns will no longer be running everything in Impact Wrestling anymore. Alexander had a huge run with the title and the only reason why he lost the title is because he had to vacate it due to injury. Alexander deserves that huge spotlight as he is the face of the company.

Winner: “And New” Josh Alexander

Bound For Glory 2023, airs on October 21st exclusively on FITE.TV and pay-per-view providers.
