Pop Break Live: Les Claypool’s Flying Fearless Frog Brigade ‘Hunt for Green October’ at The Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ on Tuesday October 24.
There was no better way to celebrate the weirdness and wildness of the Halloween Season than catching Les Claypool’s Flying Frog Brigade on their ‘Hunt for Green October’ Tour this year.
On Tuesday October 24 Claypool (the frontman of Primus) was joined by his all-star band which included Sean Lennon (of the Lennon Claypool Delirium) at The Wellmont Theater in Montclair, New Jersey. The band performed an array of their originals, Primus and Claypool songs and a whole set from Pink Floyd’s Animal record.
The Hunt for Green October Tour introduced the fan-centric “lilypad.” During all general admission shows the band marked a special green section near the stage called the “lilypad,” where concertgoers in costume or donning the Fearless Flying Brigade Frog Hat could hang. If fans weren’t at a GA show, they could still dress up and “let their frog flag fly.” A contest at every show rewarded one outstanding costume-clad fan with an autographed show poster.
