Welcome to TV Break, where Pop Break’s Podcasts Editor Alex Marcus is joined by editor-in-chief Bill Bodkin, and TV Columnist Josh Sarnecky to talk about the happenings in television.

Here’s the format of the show:

The Best Thing I Saw on TV Last Month – Alex, Bill, & Josh talk about a show/episode/event they liked from the last month including Disney Plus’s Hawkeye and What If…? Season 2, Netflix’s Blue Eye Samurai, and Netflix’s Pokemon Concierge.

News Break – Alex, Bill, and Josh preview the year ahead by discuss the 10 shows they cannot wait to see in 2024.

Streaming Wars – Alex, Bill, & Josh pick a streamer they think “won the month” based on new shows airing/upcoming shows announced etc. Josh & Bill both gave the month to Disney Plus for their new hits What If…? Season 2 and Percy Jackson and The Olympians, the return of Bluey, Hulu finally getting its Disney Plus tile, and hype for Echo Season 1. They also shout out the Christmas movies on tap that seemed to hit big during the holiday season.

Meanwhile, Alex gave it to Amazon’s Prime Video, thanks to the continued success of Thursday Night Football, The Boys Season 4 trailers, their film slate doing well during this fall’s award season lead by American Fiction, and the rumors that they may be acquiring the bankrupt Diamond Sports Group and its rights to 40 MLB, NBA, and NHL games..

New Series Spotlight – Alex, Bill, & Josh review Percy Jackson & The Olympians, Disney Plus’s new series starring The Adam Project’s scene stealing youngster Walker Scobell as 12-year-old demigod Percy Jackson, based on the popular YA novel series of the same name written by Rick Riordan.
