Zack Sabre Jr. on Orange Cassidy, The Importance of AEW & Being the Guy in NJPW

The Pop Break’s Senior Wrestling Writer Kimmy Sokol took part in the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 Media Scrum. The event took place at the UBS Arena at Belmont Park in Elmont, NY (aka Long Island). The show was third Forbidden Door collaboration between All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling (with Ring of Honor also a part of the show), but this was the first year wrestlers from Mexico’s oldest promotion CMLL and Japan’s Stardom promotion took part in the event.

In the second interview of our Forbidden Door Media Scrum Series, Zack Sabre Jr.  joined host Renee Paquette and AEW’s President, General Manager and Head of Creative Tony Khan at the media dais. The leader of TMDK (The Mighty Don’t Kneel) talks about his match with Orange Cassidy at Forbidden Door, his respect for Orange, AEW changing the game in American wrestling and the importance of being “the guy” in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
