Bound for Glory 2024 Predictions: Do You Believe in Joe Hendry?

TNA presents its biggest show of the year this weekend in Bound For Glory. TNA always builds this up as a night full of surprises, returns, and a night where truly anything can happen. This was evident last year when we got the announcement that TNA was coming back! So, let’s predict Bound for Glory!

Pre Show:

20-Person Intergender Call Your Shot Battle Royal: This is the match where I expect a lot of NXT names. With the current NXTNA relationship, you can have a lot of names from NXT make a presence in this match and relay that shock factor to fans before the main show starts. I think it would be interesting if they had Kazarian win here since he is the special guest referee in the main event to add the suspense of him cashing it at any time and that would be on par for TNA booking. If it’s not Kazarian it will be someone from NXT.

Winner: Frankie Kazarian

Editor’s Note: Ash & Heather by Elegance vs. Xia Brookside & Brinley Reece (NXT) was added to the show after this article was written.

Main Show:

Josh Alexander vs Steve Maclin: Poor Maclin. Ever since re-signing with TNA, it seems that they do not have any clear direction for him, which is why he should have signed with AEW. This match should be good as these two are some of the biggest names TNA has to offer, but Alexander is not losing on the biggest show of the year.

Winner: Josh Alexander

TNA X-Division Championship: Mike Bailey vs El Hijo del Vikingo: This match has a chance to not only be the match of the night but also the match of the year. TNA seems to put Bailey in the underdog spot a lot which is why it seems like he never gets to win the big one. Since Bailey’s contract is coming up at the end of the year it would not shock me if he loses here, but I think they will give him a reign to last through the end of the year and then he will re-sign with the company.

Winner: “And Still” Mike Bailey

TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships: Spitfire (Jody Threat and Dani Luna) vs Wendy Choo and Rosemary: These titles are the most hot potato championships in all of wrestling. Any team that holds them does not have a long reign and sometimes the title changes do not make sense. However, I think Choo and Rosemary should get the win here. Especially with Halloween Havoc the next day you can have these titles on an NXT pay-per-view for the first time, which I think both TNA and NXT would want.

Winners: “And New” Wendy Choo and Rosemary

TNA Knockouts World Title: Jordynne Grace vs Masha Slamovich: With Grace’s contract also coming to an end soon this is the perfect place to have her drop the title. I think we are all in agreement that Grace is going to WWE in 2025 and Slamovich is the perfect opponent to lose to. She has shown her dominance ever since signing with TNA and is ready to win her first Knockouts Championship. Grace will be able to feud with her for the rest of the year until she makes her way over to WWE in 2025.

Winner: “And New” Masha Slamovich

Three Way Full Metal Mayhem TNA World Tag Team Championships:

The System (Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards) vs The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy) vs ABC (Ace Austin and Chris Bey): Since this is the biggest show of the year, this will be the show where the Hardys win the TNA Tag Team Championships. If Alisha Edwards is cleared by this weekend she will also be put through a table at some point during this match, but Hardys for the win!

Winners: “And New” The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy)

Mike Santana vs Moose: When Santana came back to TNA, I expected at this point he would be in the X-Division title picture, but here we are. Santana, similar to Maclin, does not have a direction currently in the company, which is disappointing. I do think he wins this match, but he needs to be inserted in either a more serious feud or a championship feud in 2025.

Winner: Mike Santana

Monster Ball TNA Digital Media and International Heavyweight Wrestling Championships: PCO vs Matt Cardona: Poor Steph De Lander watching this match — her two favorite people going at it. Since the Monster Ball stipulation is more up PCO’s alley I think he is going to win this one, but Cardona is going to put up a fight. Since De Lander recently had neck surgery she can not physically get involved, but I do think she will make an appearance during this match.

Winner: “And Still” PCO

TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Nic Nemeth vs Joe Hendry: This is a must win for Hendry. He has so much momentum from his appearances in NXT as well as his social media following. Him appearing on NXT as well as several other places with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship will give TNA some much needed publicity. If he does not win the title here, I do not know what we are doing anymore.

Winner: “And New” Joe Hendry

TNA Wrestling Bound for Glory 2024 will be streaming live on Triller TV October 26th at 8PM EST
