WWE heads to Saudi Arabia for the second time this year for the annual Crown Jewel event. This time, all four main champions will compete head-to-head, and the winners of their respective matches will be crowned Crown Jewel Champions. There will also be some grudge matches and championship matches, and we will see the next chapter in the Bloodline storyline. Now let’s review this year’s Crown Jewel show!
Roman Reigns and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) vs The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and/or Jacob Fatu): On Raw this past Monday we saw Sami Zayn try to talk to The Usos, as Jimmy said Zayn would not understand because he is not family. Later on that night, we saw him talking to Sikoa basically playing double agent, so you know he is going to get involved in this match. I think The Bloodline win this one and Zayn makes the save for the post-match beatdown. This leads to the War Games match between both teams at Survivor Series later this month.
Winners: The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and/or Jacob Fatu)
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Fatal Four Way Match: Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill vs Damage CTRL (Kairi Sane and Iyo Sky) vs Meta-Four (Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson) vs Chelsea Green and Piper Niven: This would be the perfect opportunity for them to crown new champions since there are multiple teams in this match and the champs do not need to be pinned, but I do not see that happening. There is a lot of time before Wrestlemania 41, where I think the eventual Belair vs Cargill match is going to happen, so why break them up now? Plus since Belair and Cargill do a lot of the press and charity events for WWE, they will not lose the titles in Saudi Arabia.
Winners: “And Still” Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair
WWE United States Championship Triple Threat Match: LA Knight vs Andrade vs Carmelo Hayes: Now this is a match where I think you crown a new champion. Since there were shenanigans in the last match of their best-of-seven series, I do think either Andrade or Hayes win this match. They will pin one another as that will prove who the better man is between the two. I think both men deserve a championship run, but I’ll go with Hayes because Smackdown needs a heel champion.
Winner: “And New” Carmelo Hayes
Randy Orton vs Kevin Owens: This will be a great match. Owens just turned heel at Bad Blood, so even though Orton is going to lose his seventh PLE (Thanks Ella Jay for this stat) match in a row Owens needs this win more. He needs a major win over his former friend to cement this heel run and to go after Rhodes again at either Survivor Series or Saturday’s Night Main Event. I do think before the end of the year we will also see Orton turn heel and he and Owens will run rough shot through the entire Smackdown roster, but we have time until then.
Winner: Kevin Owens
Seth Rollins vs Bronson Reed: Now given what happened on RAW, WWE said that Rollins had to be taken to a hospital to get medically evaluated and there was a chance this match may not be happening. Now I am writing this on Wednesday Night and there has not been an update so I am assuming this match is still going to happen. I think this is going to be the feud that Rollins is going to be stuck in for the rest of the year, so Reed will win the first match to get the advantage.
Winner: Bronson Reed
WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship: Liv Morgan vs Nia Jax: Now I think Jax can benefit the most from winning this title, but I believe each brand will have a Crown Jewel Champion and I do not see Rhodes losing here. Morgan also is more over than Jax and seeing her waltz around with that title can make for some entertaining television. Raquel and Tiffany will end up brawling on the outside to even the odds as Morgan will take advantage and get the win.
Winner: “And New” Liv Morgan
WWE Crown Jewel Championship: Gunther vs Cody Rhodes: I do not have a lot to say about this match. It’s Cody Rhodes in the year 2024, you really think he is going to lose now?
Winner: “And New” Cody Rhodes
