Netflix presented TUDUM 2025 on Saturday night May 31 at the (fabulous) Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California. Netflix favorite Sofia Carson, star of The Life List (amongst other Netflix films), was the host of this star-studded event.
For those unfamiliar with TUDUM – it’s essentially Netflix’s version of Hall H at Comic-Con. It’s where they gather the stars of all their big properties, have them do really inane and often times maddening bits, in order to present news about their upcoming project. The night was filled announcements, casting news, exclusive footage, and the reason why we all tuned in — the trailers.
For the sake of self-care, don’t watch the show. It’s essentially the worst parts of an MTV Movie Awards ceremony combined with old school broadcast television specials where characters would introduce new shows and their stars to the world. This was absolute dreck, so spare yourself from watching it.
Luckily, all the good stuff is available on Netflix’s YouTube and in this column. Unlike our Super Bowl Trailers column, we’re not ranking them — we’re rating them on a scale of 1-5 Tudums.
Neftlix Tudum 2025 is now streaming.
Squid Game Season 3
Starring: Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joon, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-shim, and Jo Yu-ri.
Release Date: June 27, 2025
Thoughts: This writer has never watched Squid Game, so a lot of plotpoints in the trailer don’t hit hard (where it might for an ardent series fan). However you can’t deny the air of white knuckle fear surrounding this trailer. This is a good-looking trailer, definitely worth you time.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery
Starring: Daniel Craig, Josh Brolin, Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, Thomas Hayden Church
Release Date: December 12, 2025
Thoughts: This would have gotten a higher rating had it been a bit longer. Despite its brevity, Rian Johnson has created another beguiling teaser for his latest mystery for Benoit Blanc. The all-star cast is on full, albeit quick display.

One Piece Season 2
Starring: Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero Gibson, Taz Skylar, Vincent Regan, Mikaela Hoover.
Release Date: 2026
Thoughts: Doctor Tony Tony Chopper is absolutely adorable. They absolutely nailed a very difficult character to take from animation to live action. However, the issue with this entire segment is that we still have no clear date on the season release, nor do we get to see anything beyond Chopper.

RIP
Starring: Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Teyana Taylor, Steven Yeun, Scott Adkins, Kyle Chandler, Sasha Calle
Release Date: January 2026
Thoughts: It’s sad that the cast wasn’t lying that TUDUM would be the only place you could see the trailer, and it’s nowhere else to be found. This new Affleck/Damon crime thriller might not in be South Boston, but it wears its Heat influence on its sleeve. Damon and Affleck are perfect together in the trailer and the concept is the stuff of crime thriller fans’ dreams. The one concern is the January release which isn’t exactly a fertile crescent of great release (although this is Netflix, so who knows).

Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein
Starring: Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Charles Dance, Ralph Ineson
Release Date: November 2025
Thoughts: Perfect. Guillermo del Toro’s epic adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic looks like it has the potential to be another excellent entry into his legendary canon. We’ve seen so many versions of Frankenstein, but none have felt as fresh, exciting or horrifying as GDT’s.

Happy Gilmore 2
Starring: Adam Sandler, Julie Bowen, Christopher McDonald, Margaret Qualley, Ben Stiller, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Bad Bunny
Release Date: July 25, 2025
Thoughts: This is exactly what you want a trailer for Happy Gilmore 2 to be. It’s filled with on brand physical humor, that patented Adam Sandler heart, and a heaping helping of Shooter MacGavin. Wrestling fans will pop for scenes with AEW’s MJF (and yes that was a blink and you miss it shot of WWE’s Becky Lynch). Adam Sandler does not miss on Netflix, but this might be his biggest success on the streamer to date.

Stranger Things Season 5
Starring: Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobbie Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Ben Gelman, Priah Ferguson
Release Date: November 26, December 25 and December 31
Thoughts: This was the one everyone was dying to see, so it was odd to see it not be the last show featured. The footage shown here is mostly recycled from previous seasons, and we’re given a glimpse of what’s to come. Will screaming “run!” is pretty intriguing, but none of the other footage is that memorable. The big thing about the footage is the release dates, and that’s cool — but we’ve waited a long time and need a bit more than just that.

Wednesday Season 2
Starring: Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Haley Joel Osment, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Isaac Ordonez, Fred Armisen
Release Date: August 6 and September 3
Thoughts: Wednesday headlining TUDUM speaks volumes of what Netflix thinks of the series; as dropping six minutes worth of footage. This video will pop Northeast viewers as the beginning gag takes place at Newark Airport. The rest of it is a devilishly fun encounter between Wednesday and a serial killer (Osment). Combine this with the teaser that dropped earlier this year, and Wednesday fans should be praying for summer to speed by.
