The annual early summer classic – WWE Money in the Bank – returns on Saturday June 7 at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. Money in the Bank 2025, which is presented by CashApp, will be John Cena’s final Money in the Bank show as an active performer, and will only feature four matches (as of printing a match could be added tonight on Smackdown) including the two Money in the Bank ladder matches.
Pop Break Editor-in-Chief Bill Bodkin is joined by staff writer “Mr. Perfect (Predictions)” Mike Mueller (host of the Sweet Chin Musings Podcast and senior writer for BCP+) to give their winners and losers for the show.
Women’s Intercontinental Title Match: Becky Lynch © vs. Lyra Valkryia
Mike’s Thoughts: WWE did the right thing by letting Lyra Valkyria get a few victories over Becky, to both legitimize the title and Lyra herself, but this is a bad look for Becky if she loses again. Becky vs Bayley is on the horizon and having them feud over a title makes too much sense, given Becky preventing Bayley from competing in a tag title match at Wrestlemania.
Prediction: Becky wins and a long feud with Bayley ensues.
Bill’s Thoughts: This is the type of match where I can see either outcome being possible. On one hand, Becky wins the belt and gives it further credence while moving onto a feud with someone else on the roster (e.g. Bayley per Mike’s suggestion, or maybe Stephanie Vaquer) and then we see Lyra feud with someone else. On the other hand, Lyra without the belt — is kind of rudderless, so her winning would be a abad thing.
Prediction: “And New” Becky Lynch – the title is solidified further and Lyra moves onto someone new.
“The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes & “Main Event” Jey Uso vs. Logan Paul & John Cena
Mike’s Thoughts: John Cena and Logan Paul gain absolutely nothing with a victory here. Jey Uso is loved by the fans, but still lacks credibility as a world champion. Cody needs to extract a measure of revenge on Cena and give us a reason for their rematch.
Prediction: Cody Pins Cena. Rhodes and Uso win.
Bill’s Thoughts: So, this is one of John Cena’s final matches? Yikes. Hopefully, Logan Paul can give Cena the rub here for that heel heat. I kid of course. This actually could be a fun little tag match, as if they let all four of these guys ball out, it could lead to a good time at the fights.
Prediction: Main Event gets the pin on Logan.
Men’s Money in the Bank Match: Solo Sikoa vs. LA Knight vs. Penta vs. Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. Andrade vs. El Grande Americano
Mike’s Thoughts: Having CM Punk in this match would have given me something to ponder, but as it stands this is a one man match. Given that he’s got three extra people in his corner who will surely get involved. Rollins is the only one that makes sense here. The only caveat is if the winner is going to cash in on a secondary title.
Prediction: Seth Rollins wins after much help from Evolution 2.0
Bill’s Thoughts: It has to be Seth, right? There’s literally no one else who’d be a legit challenger for one of the main titles. If Punk or Jacob Fatu were in this, I could see them winning, however it has to be Seth. That is unless they do the lame thing where one of the winners cashes in on a secondary title or the AAA Mega Championship. If you read my Worlds Collide predictions, I do think Vikingo gets involved to cost El Grande Americano the briefcase.
Prediction: Seth Rollins.
Women’s Money in the Bank Match: Alexa Bliss vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Giulia vs. Naomi vs. Stephanie Vaquer
Mike’s Thoughts: WWE likes to strap the rocket to “new” female stars with the MITB briefcase, and there’s three of ‘em in this match. I can’t figure out which one makes the most sense so I’m going to scrap them all. Rhea needs some time away from the world title picture, so let’s take her out, too. That leaves us with Alexa Bliss and Naomi. It’s always more fun when heels hold the briefcase, and Bliss seems to be a babyface.
Prediction: Naomi, but I’m not confident in it at all.
Bill’s Thoughts: Here’s where Mike and I will be divided, and likely where he takes the W in this column. Naomi is an excellent pick and I will not be mad one iota if she takes the briefcase, cashes in and gets a proper run at the top — something she’s deserved for a while. However, I think they’re going to go with the new star in Stephanie Vaquer. Of all the new signings and call-ups – Vaquer, Giulia, Jordynne Grace and Roxanne Perez – Vaquer is undeniably the most over. I think her cashing in on Iyo Sky for Summerslam would be an awesome match. Vaquer is money, and WWE needs to build new stars.
Prediction: Stephanie Vaquer
