Love Island USA Week 2 delivered everything fans tune in for: messy recouplings, audacious bombshells, jaw-dropping eliminations, and enough villa drama to keep social media buzzing all night.
Love Island USA Week 2 started off on a sweet note for Huda and Jeremiah, who enjoyed a water park date paired with chats about the future. But by the end of the week, fans’ faith in the couple to go the distance was challenged in a major way— thanks to new bombshells, petty arguments, and America’s votes causing major turbulence in the couple’s relationship.
The pair had several tense exchanges throughout Week 2, revealing the cracks in the couple’s relationship. After Huda told Jeremiah that she is a mother in Episode 4, it appears that the news brought some doubts into the relationship, leaving Huda feeling insecure despite Jeremiah insisting that he’s cool with her being a mom. To make matters worse, Jeremiah’s fellow male islanders aren’t exactly Team Huda, saying she is “too closed off,” “playing it safe,” and even suggesting she is leading him astray.
After last week’s (Episode 6) recoupling, which sent Belle-A home and paired bombshell Cierra with Nic, the two were on cloud nine. However, their happiness was cut short when Cierra discovered that Nic had been making out with Belle-A in Soul Ties just before they shared a steamy moment together in the photo booth. After a heated confrontation, the pair moved past it pretty quickly and are on their way to becoming one of the villa’s most solid couples.
As for Ace and bombshell Amaya? It’s safe to say that ship has sailed. Week 2 revealed the couple’s incompatibility, with Ace spending most of his time trying to woo Chelley, and Amaya turned off by Ace’s “player vibes.” Fans were left wondering: if Ace was into Chelley all along, why did he pick Amaya at the recoupling? Was it a strategic move or a genuine misjudgment?
Austin and Chelley’s connection seems to have hit a slight roadblock. Ace continued to pursue Chelley with crafty yoga dates and hibachi-style breakfasts, escalating the already awkward love triangle between the three. As if things weren’t awkward enough, episode 8’s “Pucker or Pie” challenge left Austin cringing as Ace and Chelley shared a whipped cream-covered kiss in front of the islanders.

Episode 9 threw the islanders for a loop when three new bombshells, Pepe, Jalen, and Iris, were unleashed into the villa during a game of “Dominate Tricks.” Huda’s jealousy reached a new peak, and she was turned into a meme when she quite literally bent over backwards to threaten bombshell Iris to stop kissing Jeremiah, despite the kiss being part of the challenge. Huda later marked her territory, telling Iris that she and Jeremiah are “the strongest couple in here” and that “he doesn’t want nobody else.” Huda’s jealousy escalated when Jeremiah and Olandria shared a kiss during the “Got Wood?” lumberjack challenge in Episode 12, which raised some red flags for Jeremiah and the other male islanders.
Cowboy Taylor’s feathers were ruffled when bombshell Jalen set his sights on Olandria. And let’s be real—if Olandria’s made anything clear this season, it’s that she loves a country boy. Enter Jalen: a Georgia native dripping with southern charm and zero hesitation about making a move on Olandria. Production knew exactly what they were doing.
As the bombshells got to know the islanders throughout Episode 10, America was tasked with voting on who the three should couple up with—a move that left emotions running high in episode 12, possibly the season’s most dramatic episode yet.
America voted on the following couples.
- Iris Kendall and Jeremiah Brown
- Jalen Brown and Olandria Carthen
- Pepe Gonzalez and Hannah Fields
Viewers’ votes broke up three of the villa’s strongest connections and left the remaining couples to vote on which of the newly single islanders (Huda, Taylor, and Charlie) should be dumped. In a shocking outcome, Charlie was dumped from the island despite his strong connection with Hannah. Social media blew up with complaints that the islanders had sent home the wrong person, arguing that Hannah and Charlie’s connection deserved more time to develop, and that Huda deserved to be sent home for not being too “closed off” with Jeremiah this early in the season and not “playing the game.”
Week 2 ended with more questions than answers: Will Huda and Jeremiah bounce back from the recoupling? Will Ace, Chelley, and Austin’s love triangle come to an end any time soon? Will Taylor and Olandria’s connection continue to develop despite her being recoupled with Jalen?
As of the end of the week (June 15), the following couples remain:
- Iris Kendall and Jeremiah Brown
- Jalen Brown and Olandria Carthen
- Pepe Gonzalez and Hannah Fields
- Amaya Espinal and Ace Greene
- Cierra Ortega and Nic Vansteenberghe
- Chelley Bissainthe and Austin Shepard
The single islanders are:
- Huda Mustafa
- Taylor Williams
