In this episode Bill Bodkin and Amanda Rivas discuss the first three episodes of Marvel Television’s new series Ironheart. The long-delayed series follows Riri Williams (Dominique Thorn, Wakanda Forever) as she returns home to Chicago and falls into a world of crime lead by the mysterious Hood (Anthony Ramos, Hamilton).Â
In the episode Bill and Amanda talk about their concerns heading into the very reworked series, their optimism heading into the watching the initial episode batch, the three-episode release structure, Alden Ehrenreich’s (Solo: A Star Wars Story) character and the journey it takes, N.A.T.A.L.I.E. (Lyric Ross, This is Us) and what the future holds for the final three episodes of the series.
In the pre-game segment they take a cue from the NY Times and pick their Top 3 favorite films of the last 25 years. Bill and Amanda also take time to discuss Men’s Mental Health Awareness, celebrate the 200th episode of the Detoxicity Podcast (run by friend of the pod Mike Joseph) and talk about how people should take the time to take care of themselves during these difficult times.
