Sea.Hear.Now 2025 has announced the slate for their annual Late Night Shows. These shows traditionally feature local acts, superstar jam sessions, and bands on the bill performing a special set.
While all that remains true this year, there’s been plenty of new and exciting wrinkles added to the formula.
On Friday September 12, the festival will hold its first ever “Kickoff on Cookman. The show, sponsored by Netflix, will be a free, outdoor event in Downtown Asbury Park (Cookman Avenue runs through the heart of the city). The event will feature Bumpin’ Uglies who are performing at the festival on Saturday September 13. The show, which begins at 4pm, features local favorites Brick+Mortar, KufKnotz, and the Lakehouse Music Academy Band.
The music does not stop on Friday afternoon.
The Wonder Bar, located right at the gates of the festival on Ocean Avenue, will host the annual ‘There Goes the Neighborhood’ — a night where local bands get to play to the Sea.Hear.Now crowd and the local scene. This year Jarod Clemons, son of the legendary “Big Man” Clarence Clemons, will be one of the headliners. Blaise who specializes in alt pop and visual artistry and indie rockers Echo Plum will perform as well. Doors open at 7:30pm for this 21+ event.
The Stone Pony will host a massive jawn as Philadelphia’s favorite sons G. Love & Special Sauce will headline the famed venue. This is a unique show since G. Love is not on the Sea.Hear.Now card this year. So, this is a special one night type of deal. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday night September 13 will host two red hot shows.
The vibes will be beachy and irie as Landon McNamara, who will be performing and surfing at the festival, will headline Wonder Bar. Doors are at 10:30pm for this 21+ show.
Then comes the big one. The famed Ocean Ave Stomp takes place at The Stone Pony on Saturday night September 13 at 10:30 p.m. The Tangiers Blues Band featuring festival organizer and world famous rock photographer Danny Clinch will serve as the house band. The night will feature a cavalcade of musicians who are fresh off their Saturday set, or hanging to perform on Sunday, walk onto the stage to perform. This is a wild night and tickets go incredibly fast for this.
