AEW Full Gear 2025, presented by DC Comics, will take place on Saturday November 22 at The Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The show will kick off at 7 p.m. EST with The Tailgate Brawl which will simulcast on TNT and HBO Max. The PPV starts at 8 p.m. EST and is available on HBO Max, Prime Video, YouTube and traditional televised PPV.

Full Gear 2025 is yet another strong card in a year of strong AEW cards. There is intrigue hanging over this show — Will MJF return? Will we get a surprise entrant in the National Title Gauntlet? Will Mercedes Mone land the crown jewel in her belt collection or will Statlander finally get her W against The CEO.

We’re here to predict the winners, losers, and shenanigans. As always, this is Bill Bodkin doing the selections, so if you’re wagering on anything … maybe don’t tail these.

Tailgate Brawl:

Boom & Doom (“Big Boom!” A.J. and Q. T. Marshall) with Big Justice vs. RPG Vice (Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta) with Don Callis

Thoughts: This is an intriguing one. Last year, Big Boom AJ, Big Justice and The Rizzler got ungodly reactions at Full Gear. AJ and QT had an extremely fun, heat-filled match that was a very feel good, nostalgic old school heel vs. face match. AJ has proven he’s a lot of fun in the ring, especially on big shows. This will be a good time at the fights, and unless QT turns on AJ, we’ll see the hometown dudes win this one with some help from Big Justice, and a host of others (I’m thinking anyone from Paul Wight to Paul Walter Hauser).

Prediction: RPG Vice has been kicking AJ and Big Justice’s asses for half a year, so it’s time to get a nice babyface win to kick off the show.

$200,000 Four-Way Tag Match: Max Caster and Anthony Bowens vs. Bang Bang Gang (Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson) vs. Big Bill and Bryan Keith vs. The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd)

Thoughts: This should not be a money match. You’ve got the $1 Million Trios Match, no need to make this a money match. Nor should this match be on the Tailgate Brawl. God Bless Tony Khan for getting as many people as he can on the card, but this is a match of cold teams and The Outrunners. One has to hope something, anything comes out of it for these teams. The “We’re Not the Acclaimed” angle is boring, The Bang Bang Gang has been snakebit by injuries, and the former Learning Tree needs a fresh coat of paint post-Jericho. The Outrunners, rule. Plain and simple.

Prediction: The Bang Bang Gang or Big Bounty (Big Bill & Bryan Keith) should snag this one, however the winners will most likely be Bowens and Caster.

CMLL World Trios Championship Match: El Sky Team (Místico, Máscara Dorada, Neón) (c) vs. The Don Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, and Hechicero)

Thoughts: Holy. Lord. This match is going to rule on so many levels. First off, I’ve never seen Neón before, and the word on him is huge. Also, seeing his partners whether live or on TV (which is wild since Sin Cara was such a dud) is always a treat. Having them face this killer team of The Rainmaker, The Alchemist and The Alpha is just literally for the sickos, and I am one of them. Also, we’re going to see the continued build of Okada and Takeshita hating each other. The implosion these two will have is going to be absolutely epic.

Prediction: Wrestling logic would have the “can they coexist-ers” winning the titles here, but there’s no way El Sky Team is going to lose. Somehow Okada and Takeshita are going to come to blows, and cost their team.

Hook and Eddie Kingston vs. WorkHorsemen (Anthony Henry and JD Drake)

Thoughts: Hopefully, an actual angle for Eddie Kingston will emerge (looking at you, Continental Classic) after Full Gear. This match is going to be a low key slapper as The WorkHorsemen are a really good undercard team that delivers, and will go toe-to-toe with The Mad King and The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil.

Prediction: Eddie and Hook all day.

Four Way Tag Match – Winner Gets to Choose Stipulation for Their Seminal Final Match: Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron) vs. Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue) vs. Timeless Love Bombs (“Timeless” Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa) vs. Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir

Thoughts: The “Winner Gets to Choose the Stipulation for Their Semifinal Match” is kinda out of the blue, and makes me wonder if this is needed for the Women’s Tag Tournament Match. Feels a little bit like a hat on the hat. What doesn’t feel weird is how good this match is going to be. This four-way is going to be hard-hitting, will have the requisite (and appreciated) comedy spots from Harley and The Love Bombs, and ultimately is going to be a hell of a good time.

Prediction: Going to go left of center on this and pick The Sisters of Sin. They are probably the biggest underdog of the four teams, and they work extremely well in gimmick matches. This will also allow them to have an absolute banger of a bloodbath with Harley and Willow. One other option could be Mina & Toni winning so they have an advantage to defeat Marina and Megasus in their match.

Darby Allin vs. Pac

Thoughts: The whole thing here is “will Darby show?” He obviously will, and I like the angle of can Darby win a non-gimmick match? The answer is, yes he will.

Prediction: Darby Allin

No Holds Barred Match: Jon Moxley vs. Kyle O’Reilly

Thoughts: Mega-babyface pop for Kyle O’Reilly was not on my 2025 bingo card, yet here we are. He’s done a tremendous job going from being a silly billy into an absolute killer within the span of a few weeks. Moxley has been on a god-level run over the past six months or so as the vicious yet braggadocious leader of The Death Riders — ultimately becoming the weak link of the group.

Prediction: This really could go either way as they could prolong The Death Rider implosion, but KOR is a hot hand, so you don’t want to cut him off at the knees. I’d have Kyle win this one, and lead us down the road of Death Rider dissent.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: Brodido (Bandido and Brody King) (c) vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) with Stokely

Thoughts: This match screams title change. One could easily see Brodido dropping the belts in order for Brody and Bandido to join the Continental Classic, and also Bandido has an ROH Title to defend at Final Battle 2025. FTR is also having an excellent year and what better way to end it than having the belts back on them.

Prediction: Buuuuuuuuuut, they won’t win. I have a sneaking feeling that Adam Copeland and Christian Cage return to AEW after months of radio silence to cost Dax, Cash and Big Stoke a new run with the belts. Brodido to retain. Brodido 4-Life.

$1 Million Dollar Trios Match: Kenny Omega and Jurassic Express (“Jungle” Jack Perry and Luchasaurus) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) and Josh Alexander

Thoughts: The money gimmick works here because of The Young Bizzles (h/t Doc Gallows). The Bucks have been down on their luck heels ever since losing to Swerve & Ospreay at All In (in a match of the year), so a babyface turn is due for them.

Prediction: Henceforth, the Don Callis Family is going to beat the snot out of the Jacksons when they lose the match. Josh Alexander is C2 bound, so he’s going to look real strong in this one, and I’d love to see more of him and Kenny down the road.

Casino Gauntlet match for the inaugural AEW National Championship: First two entrants are Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin

Thoughts: Lashley winning this would be the cynical call, as a lot of discourse has been “Oh, this belt is to keep Bobby happy.” However, given yesterday’s media call, this seems to be a title destined to be defended on ROH, AEW, internationally and on the American independents. That does not scream Bobby Lashley to me. This feels more like a title you put on Kevin Knight, Speedball, Ricochet, or Orange Cassidy.

Prediction: We will get one or two surprises in this one. Don’t rule out Mistico or Dorada (or both) as entrants, someone from New Japan (maybe Gabe Kidd), and a return happen in this match. With all the Chris Jericho banter, could we see him return? Don’t rule it out (however, the smart money is he’s WWE-bound). Ultimately, the winner of this match will be one of the best on the AEW roster right now — Ricochet.

TNT Title Match – No DQ Match: “The Protostar” Kyle Fletcher (c) (with Don Callis) vs. Mark Briscoe
Stipulation: If Mark Briscoe loses, he joins the Don Callis Family

Thoughts: Lots of stips on Full Gear this year. However, this is the best one. There’s a lot of mileage to be gotten out of either result. Mark Briscoe as the reluctant member of The Don Callis Family could make for extremely compelling television. However, the emotional win for Mark Briscoe, who’s been an absolute workhorse, is undeniable. Also, the Don Callis Family needs to start showing cracks in its foundation. A babyface turn for The Protostar would be huge money.

Prediction: Mark Briscoe gets the big, tear-filled win.

AEW Women’s World Title Match: Kris Statlander (c) vs. Mercedes Moné

Thoughts: I am of the opinion that Stat vs. Mone at Full Gear last year was the turning point in Mone’s career. From there she has been on an incredible run of excellent match after excellent match. Statlander since that match has also been on an incredible run, as that match reminded everyone just how great she is. This match should be given a lot of time to let these two, who have incredible chemistry, do what they do best – steal the damn show.

Prediction: Kris Statlander gets her much needed W against Mercedes, and solidifies herself even further as a face of women’s wrestling.

Steel Cage Match for the AEW Men’s World Championship: “Hangman” Adam Page (c) vs. Samoa Joe

Thoughts: This is going to get bloody. This is going to get violent. This is going to be awesome.

Prediction: Hangman will retain here, but we end the night with the return of MJF declaring he’s coming for Hangman’s Title at the show he lost his title at, to Samoa Joe, World’s End.
