Preview: Space Ghost Season 2 Issue 7 (Dynamite Comics)

Things go from bad to worse for Team Space Ghost Season 2 Issue 7.

Jace and Jan’s grandfather, Dr. Henry Contra is steps away from completing a life-long project to bring stability to energy distribution through the galactic region. However, jealous and villainous forces work to sabotage these noble efforts, all in the name of profit and power.

Characters from the classic series Dr. Cyclo and Dr. Soonev are prominently featured in this issue, along with the reveal of the main antagonist who appears to be more than a “villain of the month.” The scientific expo is of course interrupted, disrupted, and straight out ruined by the jealous adversaries.

Like in any good episode, disaster strikes, casualties mount, and it’s up to Space Ghost to get to the bottom of it. But does he? It appears someone else beats him to it, leaving a trail of death and destruction in his wake. As the mystery unravels, Jace and Jan are forced to confront an emotionally difficult situation, while Space Ghost continues to resolve his own inner conflicts.

In the solicits for this week, and in a post from Mr. Pepose himself, the adversary is none other than The Antimatter Man himself! A long-time enemy in Space Ghost lore, has now joined the ranks of evil in the Dynamite Universe.

David Pepose, Jonathan Lau, Andrew Dalhouse, Taylor Esposito, and Joseph Rybandt, along with a slew of cover artists continue to keep Space Ghost atop the list of must-read monthly pulls.

Each stand-alone story is captivating, always leaving readers demanding more. Next month, wish granted. Big shoutout to Francesco Mattina who handles duties on the main covers. This month he outdoes himself with a brilliantly cosmic one.
