Phish bassist Mike Gordon headlined the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey on Saturday night March 14 with two sets of original music and tributes to his inspirations, and Phish itself.
Gordon is touring through the Northeast this month with his band consisting of John Kimock, Robert Walter, Xavier Lynn, and Bob Wagner — a lineup that he debuted last year in New Orleans. According to the press release for the tour, Eli Winderman will be “jumping in on Keys for a few of the dates mid-tour, followed by some dual-keyboard gigs.”
Gordon covered “Meat” by Phish, “I Don’t Believe You” by Bob Dylan, “Call the Breeze” by J.J. Cale, “Got to Be More Careful” by John Cleary and “Louisiana Lady” by his bandmate Xavier Lyn.
