AEW Revolution 2026 takes place Sunday April 12 at the Rogers Center in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
This is the third incarnation of the Dynasty PPV and AEW’s second PPV of 2026. Revolution is headlined by a rematch from the October 28, 2023 episode of Collision: Maxwell Jacob Friedman (the AEW Men’s Heavyweight Champion) and former champion, “The God of pro Wrestling” Kenny Omega. The fact these two have only wrestled each other once in AEW’s entire existence is a testament to a.) how stacked the roster is and b.) how much of a big fight this is because of its rarity.
This show marks the return to the ring for several Canadian AEW stars including Christian Cage and Adam Copeland, who’ll be challenging FTR for the AEW Men’s Tag Team Titles. Meanwhile, Chris Jericho returns to the company after over a year to face Ricochet.
So let’s get into the predictions for the rest of this absolutely stacked card in front of 8,000+ this Sunday.
Zero Hour
As of publishing, there has only been one official match announced for Zero Hour, however that is most likely to change after the results of the April 11th edition of Collision.
Alex Windsor vs. Marina Shafir
Thoughts: A great match to kick off the show as these two are embroiled in a feud thanks to the Moxley/Ospreay feud. WINDZAAAAAAAA gets a bad rep because she’s “Ospreay’s Missus,” and people think her push in any company is due to that. Sure, the association doesn’t hurt, but she’s always been a physical, athletic wrestler whose style is perfect for AEW’s Women’s Division. Marina Shafir’s rise from an afterthought in ROH to one of the top women in the company has been awesome to watch. However, she needs a big win, as she’s dropped her last two high-profile matches to Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa. This feud can easily extend beyond this Zero Hour match, so no harm in Windsor taking the loss here.
Prediction: Marina Shafir
AEW Dynasty 2026 Main Card:
AEW Men’s World Tag Team Championship: FTR (c) with Stokely vs. Cope and Cage
Thoughts: If Cope and Cage don’t win—what is their worth in AEW at this point? These two, as in-ring performers, do not fit AEW right now. They feel like a relic from AEW’s identity crisis from 2023-2024 where they battled to restore its feeling while also being WWE-lite. Copeland sticks out like a sore thumb, as he’s really just getting nostalgia pops for his entrance and not much else, especially since he hasn’t wrestled at all in 2026. Cage, meanwhile, feels like he’s in his own movie—just being the same heel who wants to talk about dead dads. FTR, meanwhile, has had its momentum slowed to a halt by this feud. Their all-timer match against The Young Bucks feels like a million years ago at this point, not last month. This is going to be shenanigans central with the likes of Beth Phoenix and The Young Bucks getting involved.
Winners: Cope and Cage – thanks to the help of The Bucks.
AEW Continental Championship Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Will Ospreay – No One is Allowed at Ringside
Thoughts: These two have fought before, and it’s always been great. This match will be no different. It’s going to be a hard-hitting, blood-spilling, all gas no break match that’s going to absolutely be a Match of the Year Candidate.
Prediction: Moxley retains. Here’s why. Ospreay needs a “road to All In” as well as something to happen at Forbidden Door. I think Callum Newman gets involved (despite the stipulation) and costs Ospreay the match. This fuels a feud for Forbidden Door, and then it’s off to the races to get ready for the All In main event.
Andrade El Ídolo (with Don Callis) vs. Darby Allin – If Allin wins, he will receive a future AEW World Championship match.
Thoughts: Andrade in 2026 is on a different level. He’s absolutely killing it around the world, and at some point he should challenge MJF for the title. However, the money is in Darby going for the title. MJF and Darby competed in one of the best AEW matches of all-time — the famed “side headlock” match. Their chemistry is undeniable and having them main event Double or Nothing in New York makes all the sense in the world.
Prediction: Darby Allin
AEW Women’s World Championship: Thekla (c) vs. Jamie Hayter
Thoughts: No way Thekla loses. Right now, Thekla is taking the ball and running with it. She’s a wholly unique character to the company, but the smash mouth mantra of the division thrives within her matches. The question is, will she be fighting Mercedes Mone for the title at All In, or is there a different path for her? There is mileage here for a Thekla/Hayter feud to continue this summer. A stipulation heavy rematch at DoN? Can absolutely see it.
Prediction: Thekla
Casino Gauntlet Match for the TNT Title
Known Competitors: Tommaso Ciampa, Rush
Safe to Assume Competitors: Mascara Dorada, Anthony Bowens
Predicted Competitors: Kevin Knight, Speedball Mike Bailey, Mistico, Mark Davis, El Con, Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, Wheeler Yuta, Shibata, Lio Rush, Juice Robinson, Mark Briscoe, Beast Mortos, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong, Bandido, Brody King, Max Caster.
Thoughts: Kyle Fletcher’s injury sucks. Hopefully he’s healthy and back in the ring soon, and can eventually fulfill his destiny of being the top guy in the company (by dethroning Will Ospreay). Ciampa beat Dorada on Dynamite, so I’m assuming Dorada will be in the match. And spoilers, Rush beat Bowens to come in at #2. So, I’ll assume The Five Tool Player is in this as well. And spoilers, JetSpeed and Mistico drop the trios titles to The Dogs. Also, rumors are Kyle O’Reilly comes back into play. Here’s the deal. You have a lot of legit options — Ciampa, King, Speedball, Knight, Mistico, and Kyle O’Reilly all would be great champions. Knight and Rush would be great choices as those two deserve elevations. Mistico taking that title around the horn and defending it gives that title a lot of shine that it desperately needs.
Prediction: Kevin Knight – time to put the rocket pack on the Jet.
The Young Bucks vs. The Don Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada and Konosuke Takeshita) with Don Callis
Thoughts: An unquestionable banger of a match is incoming. The storyline is not can Okada and Takeshita co-exist, it’s Takeshita has to take all of Okada’s shit in order to get his match at Double or Nothing. This is going to be full, douchebag heel Okada taunting Takeshita, with “The Alpha” having to take it in order to get what he wants. If this match takes place after FTR’s, then they’re getting involved to cost The Bucks the match. If this kicks things off, then I still expect Team DCF to get the W.
Prediction: The Don Callis Family
Chris Jericho vs. Ricochet
Thoughts: This is the most intriguing match on the card. First and foremost, Chris Jericho returning to AEW was something I didn’t believe would happen. Don’t believe me? Read my column from last year. Jericho is 55-years-old, but is in unbelievable shape. Seriously, maybe the best shape he’s been in … in forever. But, as his opponent said on Dynamite, ring shape is a completely different animal. Will Jericho be fresh and crisp? Can he keep up with the current crew of wrestlers in AEW? Jericho’s effort can never be denied or questioned, and he’s had great matches with Bandido. However, 55 is 55. Ricochet is killing it right now, and is an absolute machine in the ring right now. So, this clash could be one for the ages, or one we’re going to try and forget.
Prediction: This is a coin flip, but going to go with Jericho on this one.
AEW Men’s World Champions Match: MJF (c) vs. Kenny Omega
Thoughts: This will be a classic. MJF is on an all-time run. Omega has returned to pre-COVID form. This combination will equal a god-tier match. The outcome is a question though. While I did predict Darby to win the #1 contendership because he has great chemistry with MJF … you can easily see Kenny winning too. Kenny and Darby is a main event anywhere in the world. Ospreay vs. Omega in the main event at Wembley, is the stuff dreams are made of. Yet, MJF vs. Ospreay is a major box office attraction, and will be great as well. The fans are the true winners here.
Prediction: MJF
AEW Dynasty 2026 is available for purchase on HBO MAX, Prime Video, YouTube, PPV.com and traditional cable pay-per-view.
