All Elite Wrestling, CMLL, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling Stardom present Forbidden Door 2026 from the SAP Center in San Jose, California on Sunday June 27, 2026.

This pay-per-view features both cross-promotional matches as well as AEW centric matches like the final matches of The Owen Hart Cup finals and a cage match to determine if Mark Bricoe can face MJF for the World Title.

The event, as with all AEW PPVs, is loaded with title matches, big stakes and big fights. It airs on HBO MAX, Prime Video, YouTube, PPV.com, and traditional PPV avenues. Click here for more info.

AEW Zero Hour Matches:

TBS Championship Survival of the Fittest Qualifying Match: Skye Blue vs. Maika

Thoughts: Would AEW really have Skye Blue lose two tournament matches in a row? The Sister of Sin would be a strong addition to the upcoming Survival of the Fittest Match on Dynamite on July 1 from Florida featuring Hikaru Shida, Kris Statlander, Mina Shirakawa, Harley Cameron, Queen Aminata and Persephone. She’s a long-timer in the AEW Women’s Division and deserves to be in this match. Maika is a complete unknown to me, so I’m excited to see what she brings to the table.

Prediction: Skye Blue

AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship: Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) (c) vs. Thunder Rosa and Olympia

Thoughts: Love that we’re seeing increasingly more difficult challenges for Divine Dominion. Bayne and Kross are so good together and it’s not time for them to drop the belts just yet. Thunder and Olympia will give the champs the best matches of their run. Olympia is wildly underrated and should really show out.

Predictions: Divine Dominion

AEW World Tag Team Championship: Cope and Cage (Adam Copeland and Christian Cage) (c) vs. The Dogs (David Finlay and Clark Connors)

Thoughts: Kind of a layup. C&C Nostalgia Factory (not a bad thing) are not going to drop the belts to the upstarts.

Predictions: Cage and Cope

Three Way Tag Match: The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. El Sky Team (Místico and Máscara Dorada) vs. Unbound Co. (Shingo Takagi and Titán)

Thoughts: This is exactly why Forbidden Door rules. This will easily be one of the best matches of the night and should kick off the entire PPV. It’ll be fast paced, innovative and just super entertaining. Shingo working against The Bucks is as Hillary Duff once told us, the stuff that dreams are made of.

Predictions: The Young Bizzles

AEW Continental Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. “Most Wanted” Bandido

Thoughts: Very, very predictable. There’s no way Moxley is going to lose. However, even when a loss is imminent for “The Most Wanted,” Bandido always makes you doubt your instincts. He makes all his matches highly competitive and makes you believe that maybe, just maybe, he can snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. This is definitely a styles-make-fights kind of match, and Moxley does not shrink in the face of an opponent who works outside of his comfort zone.

Predictions: Jon Moxley

IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship: Shota Umino (c) vs. “The Bastard” Pac

Thoughts: “Shooter” will only be hitting Day 14 of his title reign when he faces Pac. “The Bastard would make a great champ in New Japan, and frankly he should work more for The King of Sports. However, having a young New Japan guy lose to and AEW after just doing that with this very title (with Tsuji and Andrade) would be bad booking, even for Gedo.

Predictions: Shota Umino

AEW Women’s World Championship: “The Toxic Spider” Thekla (c) vs. Starlight Kid

Thoughts: Another title match, another predictable outcome. However, much like all things AEW — this isn’t going to be some pedestrian match. Thekla and Starlight are going to lay waste to each other. Would it be stunning to see someone from Stardom appear during the match and challenge Thekla at Redemption or on TV? No it would not. However, the outcome here should not be in question.

Predictions: Thekla

Women’s Owen Hart Cup Final: “The CEO” Mercedes Moné vs. Maya World

Thoughts: Maya World has been an absolute star in this tournament. The world (no pun intended) is seeing the future of the AEW Women’s Division fully represented on her shoulders. However, this feel-good story comes to an end as Mercedes Mone will secure the bag and take on Thekla at All In.

Predictions: Mercedes Mone

Kenny Omega vs. Zack Sabre Jr.

Thoughts: The toughest match to call, because you have two absolute legends going at it. ZSJ beating Kenny doesn’t hurt Kenny in the least, but it does make the road to Wembley Stadium less clear. Some have predicted the Main Event should be Omega and Ospreay. That could still happen, but would it be for the title? I’m going to flip a coin on this one and say …

Predictions: Kenny Omega gets the high profile win

Men’s Owen Hart Cup Final: Will Ospreay vs. Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana)

Thoughts: Will Ospreay is involved in a Point Break-style storyline with The Deathriders. So that’s why I think Ol’ Johnny Utah (Ospreay) is going to take the Big L here and lose to Swerve Strickland. Swerve is going to take the Owen, and this will lead to the downfall of Ospreay as part of the Death Riders. And it makes things a little interesting — do you figure out a way to do a Triple Threat with MJF, Swerve and Ospreay? Do you do Kenny and Ospreay? Moxley and Ospreay? I think Will winning clean makes things less interesting.

Predictions: Swerve Strickland

Steel Cage Match: If Briscoe’s team wins, he will earn an AEW World Championship match against MJF.

Team Briscoe (Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, Konosuke Takeshita, and Darby Allin) vs. MJF and The Don Callis Family (Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, Kazuchika Okada, and Andrade El Ídolo)

Thoughts: Somehow Mick Foley is going to get involved in this match. We have not seen or heard from him since Double or Nothing 2026, so it makes a lot of sense for him to show up and cost MJF and company the match. Also, let’s not forget that Andrade and MJF are going to implode as well. This should be a very bloody affair and while in the short term this seems like the old hot mess express, this is going to fuel a number of feuds heading into Redemption and All In.

Predictions: Team Briscoe
