Fashion met New Jersey during the fifth edition of New Jersey Moda Week (NJMW), a four-day event that brought together designers, models, press, entrepreneurs, content creators, and, of course, fashion lovers. Founded by Dominican entrepreneur Fanny Abreu, the event took place from June 4 to June 7, 2026, in Newark, New Jersey.
The week began with a press conference at Koncon Quemao in Perth Amboy, with the main goal that guests and media representatives gathered to learn and ask questions about this year’s event, where they also presented the 2026 New Jersey Moda Week Magazine, in which this year the Paraguayan designer Simón Villalba shone on the cover.
On June 5, the annual Awards Gala took place and was an evening dedicated to recognizing models, photographers, designers, content creators, and business leaders for their contributions to the industry, some of the winners were: Melina Cortés as Designer of the Year, Yendri Santana as Content Creator of the Year, Angel Fernández as Photographer of the Year, Patricia de León as Female Model of the Year and more. It was an incredible night for professionals to connect and elevate fashion in New Jersey.
On June 6, fashion took center stage with the NJMW fashion show. Collections by emerging and well-known designers, highlighting diverse styles, creativity, and culture, were among the most anticipated presentations, including those by Jesse Lee, Alex Goncalves, Simón Villalba, and Ana Kabu, who captivated attendees with their unique collections.
The final day of this incredible weekend focused more on entrepreneurship with NJMW showrooms and Fashion talk. Where designers, brands, and business owners showcase their products, and industry professionals share advice with those interested in growing their careers in the Fashion industry.
New Jersey Moda Week concluded an incredible fifth edition by providing a platform for designers, models, entrepreneurs, and more, showcasing Latino talent, diversity, and creativity that shines in New Jersey and in the world.
Abreu announced that the sixth edition of New Jersey Moda Week will take place from June 3-6, 2027, inviting all fashion enthusiasts, models, designers, and more to be part of this amazing event. that once again showed that it is one of the leading fashion platforms in New Jersey and beyond.
