Disney Plus celebrates all things Mandalorian on Wednesday September 2 with a triumvirate of releases centered around everyone’s favorite space dad and his beloved sweet baby boy.
The biggest release of the three will be the exclusive streaming premiere of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu — the first feature film from Disney+’s The Mandalorian series. The film, which premiered in theaters in May, stars Pedro Pascal as the titular Mandalorian, Din Djarin, who is now bounty hunting for the New Republic. His latest mission takes him into the world of The Hutts as he must save the Rotta the Hutt (voice of Jeremy Allen White) from his captors. As you’d expect, there’s more than meets the eye with this missions as Mando and Grogu venture across the galaxy. The film features Sigourney Weaver and the voice of director Martin Scorsese. The film is directed by Jon Favreau and written by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Noah Kloor.
Fans of the film, and Star Wars in general can then tune into the two-episode live, video behind-the-scenes podcast, aptly title Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu Official Podcast. This two-part behind-the-scenes look at the film features Favreau, Filoni, Oscar-winning composer Ludwig Göransson as well as Pascal, Weaver, and Grogu himself. The episodes, “Growing Up” and “Bigger & Different,” premiere at 6 p.m. PST/9 p.m. EST on Disney+, and will also be available on video on YouTube and audio on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Pandora, Amazon Music, SiriusXM, iHeart Radio, and TuneIn.
Finally, but certainly not least, is the premiere of the animated LucasFilm special — LEGO® Star Wars: The Mandalorian. The special, which also airs on Disney+ on September, continues LucasFilm and LEGO®’s collaborative, comedic takes on the Star Wars universe.

Gavin Hammon will voice The Mandalorian, David Acord will voice Grogu and Carl Lumbly will take over the vocals of Greef Karga, originally played by the late Carl Weathers.
