Warner Bros. Continues to Work with Ben Affleck, Now Justice League Executive Producer
Warner Bros. has signed Ben Affleck on to serve as executive producer for the upcoming Justice League movie according to Deadline. He will also be working with director Zack Snyder and writer Chris Terrio. This announcement, coming out of the divisive aftermath of Dawn of Justice, further cements Warner Bros. investment in him as a creative resource in the DC cinematic universe. Affleck, who has already proven his writing and directorial chops to Warner Bros. with titles such as The Town and Gone Baby Gone, is also set to direct the solo Batman movie, which he co-wrote the script with DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns, some time in the future.
Production is already underway for Justice League in London.
Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot are reprising their respective roles as the DC Trinity. Also appearing will be Jason Mamoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Ezra Miller as The Flash. Amber Heard is set to play Queen Mera in the film as well before moving to the solo Aquaman movie in 2018, Willem Dafoe is appearing in a mystery role, with Jeremy Irons returning as Alfred
Justice League is set for November 17, 2017.
