Man of Steel Sequel Officially Greenlit
In a bit of “well duh” moment over at Warner Bros. Man of Steel is officially getting its own sequel.
Three years after the first Man of Steel hit theaters, mere months since the controversial releases of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and days after Suicide Squad’s ascension into box office history, Warner Bros. has officially green lighted the Man of Steel sequel.
While no news on when the project will air in theaters, it is safe to assume it will premiere after the new Ben Affleck-starring Dark Knight solo film.
Although details on the new film are slim, sources are telling The Wrap that, “Superman is a top priority for the studio and getting the character right for audiences is of tantamount importance.”
Henry Cavill will return as the titular character, and will also be seen in the new Justice League set to air November 17th, 2017.
