Pop Break Live: Work in Progress with Stranger Things’ Gaten Matarazzo at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ,
Gaten Matarazzo had a pretty strong 2017.
Stranger Things was drowned in award nominations ranging from the Golden Globes to the Emmys. The second season of the Netflix series absolutely crushed it in ratings, and was another critical and commercial hit.
Speaking of commercials, Matarazzo became a spokesperson for Verizon FiOS, starring in a slew of television commercials for them.
Awesome year, right?
Well, to make things better – Matarazzo and his band, Work Progress performed not one, but two sold-out shows on December 29, and December 30, at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. Originally the band was scheduled to perform at one show, but tickets sold so fast that they just had to had a second date.
The venue was absolutely jammed to listen to the band — which consists of Matarazzo, along with his sister Sabrina and brother Carmen – who performed a set of covers including: Fall Out Boy, Jimmy Eat World, and The Doors.
Pop Break’s Matt Heasley caught the band in action during both their sold-out shows.
Editor’s Note: The band just announced a show on February 3, 2018 at The Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. Venue pre-sale is January 11 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Click here for tickets when they go on sale.
