Oteil Burbridge & Friends Deliver All-Star Night of Covers to Brooklyn Bowl

Pop Break Live: Oteil Burbridge at Brooklyn Bowl

It was a spoil of riches at The Brooklyn Bowl on Tuesday night, January 16, at The Brooklyn Bowl in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, New York.

First, the crowd was treated to seeing Oteil Burbridge on stage. The man’s resume is absolutely bonkers — Dead and Company, The Allman Brothers Band, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Gov’t Mule, Zac Brown Band, Vida Blue, Aquarium Rescure Unit, BK3 (Bill Kreutzmann Trio), as well as his own acclaimed work.

Joining the iconic bassist was an all-star band of “friends” to perform two epic sets of covers, and some of Oteil’s original solo work.

Joining Burbridge on stage was guitarists Scott Metzger (WOLF!, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead) and John Kadlecik (Dark Star Orchestra, Furthur), keyboardist Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band), percussionist Weedie Braimah, drummer Jay Lane (Rat Dog, Primus), and vocalist Alfreda Gerald (Warren Haynes, The Gap Band).

Pop Break’s Matt Heasley caught the all-star gathering in action.
