If you’re like me, you’re already hyped for Wrestlemania this week. Card looks strong. NXT Takeover looks ridiculous. There’s tons of indie shows happening, and oh that crazy WWE/Evolve/Progress mash-up tournament is happening.
It’s bonkers. Hype is turned to 10.
Well, the band It Lives, It Breathes is turning things up to 11.
The Providence, Rhode Island based rock act has released a new series of WWE covers in time for Wrestlemania.
The band is no stranger to the world of wrestling. Their song “Elevated” is currently used by IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion, “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay. Yes, they’re the ones who created that banger (seriously check it out, it’s an awesome song).
Right before Monday Night RAW yesterday the band dropped a teaser video Monday for their covers on YouTube. The video shows highlights of their covers of “I Came to Play” (The Miz’s Theme Song), “Metalingus” (Edge’s Theme song), and “Free the Flame” (Ember Moon’s Theme).
The full versions of these songs can be found on their Spotify playlist titled It Lives, It Breathes WWE Medley. The playlist features covers of the theme songs for: Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Shinsuke Nakamura, Aleister Black, Bobby Roode, TJ Perkins, Becky Lynch, The Undertaker, Austin Aries, Asuka, Sami Zayn, and Living Colour’s “Cult of Personality” which CM Punk used. That full playlist can be fo here.
As mentioned in the beginning of the video It Lives, It Breathes will be dropping new music very soon.
