The Bachelorette Season 14 Episode 6 Review

“Virginia is for lovers” – Becca
Date 1 – Single Date
Participants – Jason
Date Prompt – “Life is full of surprises”
Jason and Becca ride a trolley to a church and do a little history tour. They then go to a Sugar Shack Donuts and then to an Edgar Allen Poe museum, which I definitely want to go to at some point in my life. Jason and Becca meet up with a bunch of gothic edge-lords. Not going to lie, the whole gothic part of the date was a little odd, but it was fun to see Becca and Jason so out of their element. The big surprise of the date is that Becca brought all of Jason’s friends to a bar and meets up with them all. It was fun to watch his reaction to seeing his friends. And, after only seeing his other competitors in the house for a long time, I can’t imagine how happy he’d be to see his actual friends.
During the dinner portion of the date, Jason tells a story about how his grandmother had Alzheimer’s and how when his dad went to visit her, she didn’t recognize him. It was very sad, and Becca tells the story about how she lost her father. She said it really makes people appreciate the moments they have with people. The two of them showing their vulnerable sides to each other was nice. Jason gets the rose. She has one final surprise for him! She brings him to the top of the clocktower. “I can see saying yes to spending forever with him” and “I’m falling for him” were things Becca said that make me feel great about Jason being one of my Final 4 choices.
Date 2 – Group Date
Participants – Colton, Garret, Wills, Connor, Blake, Lincoln, Chris
Date Prompt – “Let’s make history”
The men arrive to the date in suites. They approach two men dressed as George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. There’s a cute bit where Abraham Lincoln gives him his top hat to wear, since they share the name.

The governor of the Virginia is there, giving the men their questions. The men get asked various questions and all seem to be having a good time, until they get to Lincoln. Lincoln gets asked- “How do you envision your future with Becca?” And he responds “Not by having to pack my bags and leave, like Chris” which definitely made me gasp out loud. That remark causes Chris goes on the offensive, which causes Lincoln to also go on the offensive. Becca no longer looks like she’s having a good time. I’ve deemed Chris and Lincoln as toxic.
During the cocktail party, Lincoln steals Becca first. He mentions being “scared” of Chris, and he seems to genuinely be afraid. Chris meets with Becca next. Becca tells Chris that some of the other men mentioned being afraid of him. Chris obviously denies all of the accusations against him. Chris brings all of the drama to the other men in the lobby. Lincoln admits to spreading some of the rumors. Becca no longer wants to talk with any of the other men tonight because she’s in such a bad mood. The men continue to bicker till Becca walks in. She regroups with Garrett after being “mentally exhausted.” He wrote her a little note to her and it seemed to help cheer her back up. Wills mentions that he’s falling in love with Becca. Colton gets the rose and Garrett’s face drops.
Date 3 – Single Date
Participants – Leo
Date Prompt – “The world is our oyster”
Becca starts the date distracted because of the drama from the last date. They take a helicopter ride over the Chesapeake Bay. They sit together and talk about what happened between Chris and Lincoln from the night before. Becca airs out her thoughts before they move forward to the next part of the date. Leo picks some oysters and they both shuck them before eating them raw.
They go to city hall for the dinner portion of their date. She appreciates that Leo was able to turn the bad date around. Leo tells Becca about himself and Becca talks about how she’s really grown attached to him. They kiss, but their chemistry feels dimmer than the chemistry she has with some of the other guys. Nevertheless, she offers him a rose, and he accepts. They go to the Dominion Energy Center and Morgan Evans is playing music. Becca and Leo are shown dancing together at the concert.
Leo makes his way back to the house and Chris is brooding over it.
Chris makes his way to Becca’s place. He wants to clear the air out everything between the two of them. He tells her that he can see himself marrying her and I don’t think Becca is buying it. She mentions wanting to move forward, but his drama has seeped into all of her dates in Virginia. She doesn’t think they can get past those flags that she’s seeing with him. “At this point I know it’s not going to work out”, and with that, she sends Chris home.
The Night of the Rose Ceremony
The men are talking about how Chris was sent home. There’s no cocktail party tonight and they’re going straight to the rose ceremony. Becca is wearing a stunning metallic dress, one of my favorites that I’ve seen on her.
