Pop Break Live: Rebellion Rises Tour featuring Ziggy Marley, Steel Pulse and Tribal Seeds at The Stone Pony Summer Stage.

If there were ever a perfect way to end a summer — it would be with reggae music. The ebb and flow of high energy rhythms, and chilled out vibes were the perfect way to close out a balmy summer in Asbury Park.
And who better to provide that end-of-summer soundtrack than Ziggy Marley, a member of the legendary Marley musical family.
Marley brought his Rebellion Rises Tour to the legendary Stone Pony’s outdoor venue — The Summer Stage on August 30. In two were internationally beloved, and favorites in Asbury Park — Tribal Seeds and Steel Pulse.
By the time Steel Pulse hit the stage, The Stone Pony was fully packed and the sun was setting right behind the Summer Stage as the band warmed up the crowd for the highly anticipated, SOLD OUT Ziggy Marley show!
The sun was completely set when Ziggy Marley and his band walked out onto the stage, all smiles! Ziggy exploded with a force of reggae music, jamming right into “Rebellion Rises” a song on in his new album aptly titled Rebellion Rises.
Of course no Marley show would be proper if a few covers weren’t thrown in. Ziggy’s renditions of Wailers classics “Coming in From the Cold,” a medley of “Justice,” “War,” and “Get Up, Stand Up Medley” and of course, “One Love” were huge crowd pleasers.
At one point there was a magical energy around the crowd when a bright yellow butterfly landed one of the microphones on stage. His voice and energy on stage are very reminiscent of his father, the reggae legend Bob Marley. Ziggy’s set was a little over an hour and left the crowd thirsty for more music.
