U.K. rock outfit You Me at Six has announced they will tour North America this winter in support of their latest record, VI (released on October 5, 2018 via Underdog Records / AWAL). The tour, dubbed “The Back Again Tour” kicks off on February 21 at Brighton Music Hall in Boston, MA.
The band — comprised of vocalist Josh Franceschi, guitarists Max Helyer and Chris Miller, bassist Matt Barnes, and drummer Dan Flint – will have special guests Dreamers and Machineheart opening all shows.
From Press Release:
You Me At Six has crafted an exciting, ambitious album with VI. It’s a record that switches moods and styles with breathless confidence, from devastatingly defiant rock to joyously uplifting pop. It all but drips with melodies and moods. It’s the kind of album a band makes when they are in love with all the possibilities of music. Recorded at Vada Studios in England, the band co-produced VI with Dan Austin (Biffy Clyro, Massive Attack, Pixies). The anthemic 10-song collection boasts a combination of rock riffs, indie pop, R&B vibes and electronic beats showcased by tracks “Back Again,” “3AM,” “IOU,” “Fast Forward” and “Straight To My Head.”
Kerrang! raves, “VI serves up a tasting menu of what the future of the band holds, not bound by a single sound but by a revived spirit,” NME gushes, “It’s a pleasure to see them testing the limits of their sonic template” and DIY Magazine declares, “VI not only recaptures but reinvents the magic that has propelled them to be one of the UK’s most successful rock outfits of recent times.”
Since forming in 2004 as teenagers, You Me At Six has notched an impressive four UK Gold Records, five Top Ten albums in the UK including VI and their Number One album Cavalier Youth, an unparalleled 15 consecutive A-List singles on BBC Radio One, sold out UK headlining arena tours and multiple sold out U.S. headlining tours. The band has toured alongside luminaries like 30 Seconds To Mars, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, All Time Low and Bring Me The Horizon.
