Southern Rock royalty 38 Special (or .38 Special if you will) brought their classic hits to the Ocean Resorts Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey in late February.
The Jacksonville, Florida-born band, originally founded by Donnie Van Zandt (brother Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Ronnie Van Zandt), began rocking in 1974. The current line-up includes original singer/guitarist Donnie Barnes (whose tenure with the band runs from 1974–1987, 1992–present), Danny Chauncey, Bobby Caps, Gary “Madman” Moffat, and Barry Dunaway.
On this frigid evening the band warmed things up with their hits like “Hold on Loosely,” “Caught Up Into You,” and many, many more.
For those unfamiliar with the venue — Ocean Resorts Casino is the new incarnation of the old Revel Casino.
