Becky vs. Charlotte
RC: Since before the TLC PPV, I’ve been saying this story writes itself. Becky loses the title in order to win the Rumble. From their it’s Becky in the Main event at Mania, no question. The time for getting cute is over as we are less than a month away from the showcase of the immortals. Give me Becky for the win and the triple threat match at Wrestlemania.
MW: Super duper. Come. On. We know the winner.
Raw Tag Team Championship Match: Bobby Roode & Chad Gable vs. The Revival vs. Aleister Black & Ricochet
RC: Raw and SDLive have some shiney new toys in two of my personal all time favorites, Aleister Black & Ricochet. I have no idea why they teamed these guys up, but I’m loving every second of it. These guys have been unstoppable as they’ve already knocked off the Revival and The Bar. This match could steal the show, and I’m going to say that the momentum stays on the side of the newcomers. (and Faves) Put me down for an early “Air Devils” Title win!
MW: I see this going to Gable & Roode. It’s obvious that they don’t care much about tag wrestling on RAW. They want to push Ricochet & Black but more likely as singles and it’s only one month from a Wrestlemania rematch.
The Shield vs. Lashley, Drew, Corbin
RC: First and foremost, beyond thrilled to see Roman back in action. This one could go either way, based on where Reigns will end up at Wrestlemania. The more I think about it, the more I think this match is a set up for a possible Reigns/ Ambrose feud. I’ll take the Hounds of Justice to lose this one, but Reigns to get a big win at Mania.
MW: Come. On.
Daniel Bryan vs. KO
RC: It’s also great to see Owens back and in the title picture. However, what we want to see is KO-FI and NOT KO in the title match at Wrestlemania. I think this match is a bit of a formality (as many of these Fastlane Matches may be) and with Rowan in his corner, Bryan should be able to pull out the W.
MW: Daniel retains. He’s the champ we need right now. It would be neat to see KO win and offer the shot at Wrestlemania to Kofi, though.
Rey vs. Andrade Cien Almas
RC: Even though this is the pre-show match, these matches could go on forever. I can’t say enough good things about these guys ability to work with each other in the ring. Technically, I think it’s Rey’s turn to win, making me pretty sure this will set up a big time Gimmick match between the two at Mania.
MW: If it wasn’t on the prelims, I’d say a lock for Andrade. Still leaning that way. Wrestlemania could be the blow off as Rey tries to pass the lucha torch to El Idolo.
The Usos vs. McMiz
RC: I’ll keep this one short and sweet. The Usos retain to help set up Miz vs. Shane at Mania.
MW: Usos retain causing Miz to turn and the blow off at WM.
Mandy vs. Asuka
RC: Who’s ready for Asuka? Not Mandy Rose. I expect to see Asuka walking into Wrestlemania as the Smackdown Women’s Champion.
MW: They’re pushing Mandy but I don’t know if they’re quite there yet. Asuka was made to look strong going in, though, so I’m going with the hot take: Mandy gets the win and the belt.
Boss & Hug Connection Vs. Nia /Tamina
RC: This is a tough one, but I really love what Sasha and Bayley are doing with the tag team championships. (Taking them to NXT, SDLive etc.) I’d like to see that play out, and I don’t necessarily see Nia and Tamina carrying out that mission. At the same time I could see the Bayley vs. Sasha match finally happen, but I’ll stick with my gut and say the always fantastic Boss and Hug Connection retain.
MW: I think they want the spectacle of the giant badasses at WM. Sasha & Bayley drop the titles to regain them at ‘Mania (or face off after a meltdown.)
